Westport Woods Hotel & Spa

Was ok not bad

Dinner was poor, though generous . Bar had neither small bottles of Prosecco or Dry Martini. Our room was fine. I enjoyed the pool

Spent one night here for a trip. I've stayed here before a few years ago. Staff member who checked us in and out was very friendly and explained the hotel facilities quite well! Hotel in a good location and plenty of free parking. About 10mins from Croagh Patrick and 5mins to Westport by car. Breakfast was quite tasty too. First time in a long time using a physical key to open the room door which gave us a laugh. A few little things. Firstly the safe in our room was locked and couldn't be opened. We called from the room to reception 2/3 times and no one picked up the phone. Although it wasn't an emergency for us it is definitely dangerous with the amount of older guests staying at the hotel who could easily have a fall or need assistance. Housekeepers ignored us when passing through corridors, even a small bit of acknowledgement would've been friendlier. Elevator was also out of service which isn't great for older guests or those with mobility issues. We were staying in a older room which is okay but the carpet was disgustingly smelly. Our room only had one teaspoon between two mugs and both glasses in the room were different heights. Little niggly things which should be addressed... Soap containers in the wall were also borderline empty. No water bottles in room either although it was very hot. We stayed in a family room so there was two beds which were made up of two twins zipped together. Not the most comfortable but still had a good sleep.

Nice hotel lovely bar area great location only about 15min walk slight hill to go up to get to town but nothing major

Short get away to West of Ireland never been to Westport before. Have read a few books about Grainne O'Malley and was very interested to see where she came from

We stayed at the Westport Woods for a riding/golf holiday. We were very well treated, staff were helpful, accommodating and very friendly. The hotel is comfortable and relaxing, food was good and health centre with sauna, steam room, hot tub and pool was welcome after a day of riding. What a beautiful location!

6 of us stayed as a group when down climbing Croagh Patrick, the hotel was excellent with a prome location. All staff were attentive and courteous. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was great and plentiful. Look forward to returning again soon.

Group weekend away - Fri/ Sat night - so, how to rate the hotel- staff were very helpful, some a little inexperienced. Rooms were adequate - certainly not sound proof, every toilet flush from adjacent rooms were loud and clear - even at 3am. Thinks a little dated, carpets, furniture and fittings. The great let down was our Saturday night meal - it appears there was a serious underestimation of product and the alternative was inedible with no explanation or apology- very disappointing . ATM was out of order, some bar products also in short supply. Would I try again - only at a discounted rate - it's just not worth it. Pity.

Stayed for my Sisters Wedding and the service was amazing! Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Huge Thank you to Caroline and Seamus, the Wedding coordinators, who went above and beyond to make sure , not only the Bride and Groom, but everyone was well looked after. Had the best time and Highly recommend saying here, for any occasion, or even a family holiday as they have a lovely pool area too. Beautiful location❤️
