Felt quite unsafe at this hotel with it being a migrant centre as well as a hotel. For the price being charged I wouldn't expect this. Pizza I'm pretty sure was frozen and the price of drinks in the bar was excessive. Again because of the situation at the centre I don't feel high prices are justified.

Called in mid week for lunch, bar was quiet but staff were lovely and attentive..Piri piri chicken burger was lovely..great spot for lunch..hotel is so nice..walked around grounds, there is a coffee shop/hut on the drive in, lots of people there

I arranged a family reunion in Breaffy House recently. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and the deal we got was excellent. Any request that I had was carried out without any fuss. The weekend was very successful. It was the second reunion that I organized. The first one five years ago was so successful, with the great cooperation of the staff, that I decided to come back to Breaffy House. From the first contact with the staff the service was excellent. Any request that I had was actioned on without any fuss. I had relations coming from England, Canada, USA, and Australia and of course Ireland. The comments from all of them were the same. Excellent staff, food, price and facilities. I’d like to give a special mention to Una Kilbane, Brendan Creaby, Dean Diplock, Radostin Yankov, Jade Nolan, Paval in maintenance, Mairead in Healy Macs and all the reception staff. They were all so helpful. If I decide to do another one or any event in that part of Ireland I would certainly use Breaffy again.

We attended a wedding in Breaffy at the weekend and it was perfect from beginning to end. We spent time there from Friday to Monday and every interaction was top notch. A special thanks to Brendan and Mairead in Healy Macs who really are both on top of their game.

We had a lovely stay over the bank holiday weekend, the room was nice and modern. Outside there are some mini golf pitches which were fun and there is a playground for kids as well. We had afternoon tea and the gluten free version was very inclusive and was such a little treat! The breakfast offering was a little small overall in my opinion compared to other places we have stayed at. Also, in the restaurant there are only 2 dinner menus one for €65 and €45 pp we were not informed of this when we booked, I feel like this is something they should mention since you cannot mix and match your courses which felt quite limiting.

Staff nice and friendly, Mary at the front desk was very welcoming. Gentleman who greets and seats for breakfast is wonderful. Dishes and silverware need to be washed better. Food and food services in the bar very poor..

I celebrated my birthday in the Mulberry restaurant in Breaffy House with ten of my friends. The environment was beautiful,modern and stylish. We had the room to ourselves. The afternoon tea was presented very well. The portions were more than generous. The service was excellent. We could spend as long as we wanted in the restaurant. It was very plush. The value for money was good at 25 euro a head. I would recommend this for a birthday.

We spent two days at the hotel and had a really enjoyable stay. The staff were helpful and friendly, and made us feel really welcome. Breakfast was served in the Mulberry Restaurant, with a good selection of hot and cold options. We also had a nice lunch in the resident’s bar, as well as tea and scones. The grounds are beautiful, with lots of walking trails, ranging from one to seven kilometres. The spa was really nice and had a large swimming pool. The hotel is close Castlebar town and a 25 minute car journey to Westport and Knock. I would highly recommend the hotel and would definitely stay again.
