It's just that the room is a bit small, and it's a bit cramped for two people in the attic. The hotel is in a good location, right in the town of Hoorn. The town has a market on weekends, right in front of the hotel. The breakfast provided by the hotel proprietress is amazing. She used to be a chef and sings very well. She is an absolute live show.

Afgelopen weekend hier 1 nacht geslapen op kamer 10. Ik benoem een paar verbeterpunten die echt nodig zijn om toekomstige klachten te voorkomen. De toilet loopt continu door waardoor je uit je slaap wordt gehouden, dat is niet van recent want de toiletpot laat die kalksporen duidelijk zien. Het douche gordijn is enorm statisch waardoor deze mede ook door de kleine douche ruimte permanent aan je lijf vastgeplakt zit. Het rechter gordijn bij het raam is te kort waardoor in de ochtend wanneer het licht begint te worden je kamer ook wordt verlicht, wat niet gewenst is omstreeks 05.00 uur :). Het matras heeft een kuil wat duid op een te lang gebruik hiervan, een nieuw matras is gewenst. Het ontbijt was goed en ruim voldoende en wordt geserveerd door twee zeer vriendelijke dames.

ontzettend fijne gastheer en gastvrouw, niets is hun teveel! Koffers worden naar boven gebracht en gastvrouw Lisa zingt graag een prachtig lied voor haar gasten! Tips voor de omgeving werden spontaan gegeven. Ontbijt was heerlijk, ligging hotel lekker in het centrum.

Wat een fijn hotel! Wij hadden de suite met een hele grote badkamer met ruime douche, dubbele wastafel en een heel groot bubbelbad. Een heerlijk bed in een ruime kamer, van allen gemakken voorzien. Heel schoon. Al het personeel is echt bijzonder vriendelijk met een speciaal compliment voor gastvrouw Lisa. Je voelt je er welkom, de benadering is persoonlijk en ook onze hond heeft genoten van de speciale aandacht en de heerlijke hondenontbijtjes. En wij ook van het heerlijke en goed verzorgde ontbijt voor onszelf. Een echte aanrader, je zit midden in het centrum. Fijne restaurants en terrasje op loopafstand. En vlak bij het nieuwe strand.

The hotel is quirky and the hosts are very friendly but we were given a room at the top of the hotel and there was no shower. There was a bath with a shower hose and there was a slanted ceiling so you couldn’t stand up to use it as a shower. A shower is a basic amenity and we should have been told about this when we booked. So it made our experience unpleasant. If we had been given a room with a shower, then we’d have rated our stay higher.

Nice hotel in easy walking distance from the station and harbour. Good amenities and helpful staff. Chargeable breakfast was good. Linked to restaurant for evening meal but plenty of other options nearby. Would definitely stay here again

Charming, eclectic hotel which really delivers: a good night’s sleep, a good hot shower, and a friendly welcome. Especially for our dogs, who particularly enjoyed their own special breakfast. Don’t expect the Ritz; do expect a hotel that leaves you with a sense of well-being and a feeling that you have touched a vanishing world.

Un petit hôtel dans le centre de la belle ville de Hoorn, tout est a proximité : le théâtre, le centre ville pour un shopping sympa,les musées, on peut tout faire à pied. L'hôtel est petit, les chambres ne sont pas grandes, mais les lits sont très confortables. Les salles de bains sont par contre minimalistes. Le petit dej, servi à table est copieux et délicieux. Un énorme 👍 pour l'accueil, les propriétaires sont très sympathiques. Madame nous a fait un concert privé dans la réception, c'était génial ! L'hôtel fait aussi brocante. On a passé un séjour excellent.

This hotel is at a great location, between the shops and restaurants in the city centre. The staff is nice. And the matrasses are good. The pillows though were very thick, I couldn't sleep on it. We had a 3p room which was next to a terrace. The terrace was used day and night by people who were smoking. So we couldn't open a window without letting the smoke in. Also the sounds of people on the terrace were heard at night. The shower and toilet were in about 1.5 m2, so very small and it would take a while for the water to run away. And also couldn't be used at the same time. Coffee and tea facilities were in the room.
