Great value for money and a lovely setting. Perfect for family trips toasting marshmallows or cosying up with the log burner!

Wonderful 2 night stay in a magical Yurt called Buttercup. Everything sparkly clean, cosy and comfortable. Enjoyed lovely trip to nearby Wells Cathedral and Bishops Palace then back to enjoy the relaxing surroundings and an excellent BBQ. Peti and Raf are perfect hosts - we’ll be back!

I’ve always wanted to stay in a yurt and this not only matched my expectations but exceeded them. We stayed for one night as it was our anniversary and I surprised my boyfriend. I wish we could have stayed longer! On arrival the yurt was warm, clean and the fairy lights were on which made it magical to walk in to. It was like going in to the TARDIS as there was so much space. The yurt was well equipped with everything we needed and the toilet and shower were very clean. There was a heater and a log burner but we didn’t need the log burner. We cooked on the fire pit and made breakfast the next day. It was great that they accepted dogs as a lot dont but our dogs loved it. The owner was very friendly and helpful and gave us extra coal for the BBQ. There is a steep walk to the yurt but you have trolleys you can use and the view was amazing and so peaceful. I can’t recommend this enough and we’ll definitely be going back.

Lovely shepherds huts on the hill. Nicely decorated, comfy and with a multi fuel stove. Shower, kitchenette and other facilities worked well and were well presented. We ate at the pub in the evening and ordered breakfast the following morning. Good to support independent rural inns.

I’ve now stayed twice at Vobster Inn’s shepherd’s huts, in December 2021 and again a year later. There was an administrative mix-up when I first arrived, and the superb way Peta and Raf handled it should be used as a case study for hospitality schools everywhere. I was delighted with the cosy shepherd’s hut Pippin, its quirky garden and relaxing hot tub. Here is a place where you can enjoy true privacy in the countryside, while still having the hosts available to help if needed. I also enjoyed one dinner in the main inn in December 2021, which was delicious. In summary, this place has a hold on me and I cannot wait to return. I would recommend it most highly.

My Husband booked a romantic getaway for our 20th wedding anniversary for my wife as a surprise. The Site advertising as 'Glamping' on the 'Hill'. On arrival we were unaware that we had to park our car at the bottom of the hill and walk up to your accommodation with your luggage/food/wood etc. We did find a little cart and made use of it to lug all our belongings up. They do also say that they are available to assist with this transport but they are nowhere to be found. Sadly we were not on the hill but half way up, with the hill and the other yurt accommodation, as our view. A suggestion to the owners is perhaps to advertise more clearly exactly what you are getting then your expectation won't be a bad one. Our little hut, called Pippin, was more like an old fashion hut that would have been pulled but ox's back in the day. The grounds are covered in hard small rocks so you must wear shoes at all times. and the site is most certainly not GLAMPING - more like rustic! On arrival it is self-check in, which is fine, if the instructions on the brown envelope are followed and adhered to by the owners. It says to call before 6pm to get fire wood for the firepit. When you attempt to call the owners they do not answer the phone or email. You can also try and hunt for them in the hotel but good luck with that. When I did find Peta she was greeted with: 'I was having a siesta', and a rude way to greet a new guest. I was simply told to read the envelope for details. Well the envelope tells you that you should call them before 6pm and wood will be delivered. They are also very specific with what wood is meant for what fire. The inside firewood is most certainly not supposed to get used on the fire pit nor is it for the hot tub fire. AND this extra wood was quickly scooped up by the Peta and whisked away to safety. The accommodation is not glamorous at all and is quite basic. The bedding is hotel standard but the mattress is disgusting and one can not get a good night's sleep at all. You feel the springs and the wooden planks on the makeshift bed. The mattress doesn't stay in place on the wooden slates and the person sleeping on the right feels like you are falling off the bed throughout the night. This mattress is certainly not Glamping! The Kitchen is sadly missing a microwave and a few more bowls for cooking and preparing things like salads etc. The fridge is way too small for a weekend away and has no freezer section. The fridge is about 30cm in height! There is very little packing space for your groceries and extra shelving is a big suggestion. We felt very cramped inside. There are also not enough plug point sockets. Fortunately we brought our own extension lead. You will also need to bring your own outside light if you intend to braai/bbq at night as an outside light is not thought of. There are solar fairy lights which are great atheistically but not practical. We like to sit outside and play cards with a glass of vino - but had to use our m
