Clean for a downtown motel in the heart of Ukiah. Great access to shops & food. Pool was well kept. Check in was clean. Room was clean. The down was the complimentary breakfast. No eggs, no meats, all they had was dry cereal, white toast and beverages with yogurt & old bananas.

We happened upon this hotel after a long day searching in another city here there were no vacancies. We got the last two rooms, and the staff at check in (sorry I donโt remember her name) was so accommodating. It was late so she offered a late check out the next day. The next morning the staff was also great -they changed the charges to a different card for me and gave us great info about the area. The rooms were exceptionally clean and spacious. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. Highly recommend this property.

Thanks to TripAdvisor we found this great family motel in Fort Bragg. As part of the motel, there is a super 18 hole miniature golf course. Our room included a free round of golf for the entire room (spouse and 7 yr old grandson). Super friendly and helpful staff and very nice room. But most impressive was the fact that since the room rate had gone down since I made the reservation I was told (upon checking in) that my rate had been adjusted and was now $50 LESS than my previously confirmed rate. Clearly an establishment that puts the customer first.

We have stayed at several hotels throughout the years and this was our first time staying at the North Cliff hotel. We had a ground floor (1st floor) (king suite). It has a fantastic view of the ocean and entrance to Noyo Harbor. We saw whales from the balcony. From the hotel, you can enter the walking path that takes you clear to Pudding Creek. The walk is beautiful and whales and other wildlife can be spotted along the path to Pudding Creek and Glass Beach. Only negative we have is the internet/wifi was almost nonexistent. Very sporadic service. For a hotel such as this, a better wifi/internet system should be invested in. All-in-all we would stay at this hotel again in the future.

Towels not changed out till day 3 and bed never changed. Floors also left both our socks black but THE BIG, BAD EXPERIENCE CAME on the 2nd night. There are signs EVERYWHERE about quiet hours etc and the people next to us obviousely had a friend in a room downstairs. They were back n forth our window, up n down stairs all night laughing, yelling, most likely under the influence and payed no attention to our looks or slamming window and door shut. This started after 11pm. It took us a quite a few hours to fall asleep. I did not call the office that night. The room seemed quiet the next day and into night and we assumed they had checked out. They did not. About 11pm the noise started again and after 30 minutes I called downstairs. The manager said she would handle it. Nothing changed. Loud everything until 4:30 am and NO real sleep for us, day 2. I went down in morning, about 8 and was practically crying in frustration and lack of sleep. The manager said they checked out and since when she called/or checked (?) the night before, they were IN their room at the time so there was nothing she could do. I do NOT AGREE OR UNDERSTAND THIS. The hotel should have monitored for awhile and asked them to leave when it continued. I asked and should have received some type of discount but they refused. It ruined the 2nd 1/2 of our trip and it could have been alleviated or made less painful by the hotel acknowledging and making an effort towards our ordeal.

AAdamantly AdamThe inn is conveniently located near the town of Mendocino and we enjoyed a mini vacation in the area. We had the two bedroom cottage which is really spacious for the three of us. Thereโs a fully functional kitchen, a huge bathtub. The beds are clean and comfortable.

GGuest UserWe loved our stay at the Surf Inn/Motel in Gualala. We had never been to the area and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location of the Inn is amazing. Right on the ocean. The view from our room was fantastic. The room was great and most importantly to us, our bed was ultra comfortable. There was plenty of outdoor seating where we ate lunch and a fire pit with a pile of wood available. The staff was great and very friendly. They were helpful in suggesting places to eat and things to see. Everyone that we came in contact with during our time in Gualala was so friendly. Itโs a great place to relax and sightsee. We strongly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed.

We booked a triple queen bed for an overnight stay. The day of our arrival we received a call saying they over sold and they didnโt have the room for us. They asked if we would be okay with a king and queen and we said yes as long as they were next to each other since we have little kids. Was told no problem. The guy called back later saying that we need to contact Wyndham to change the reservation. We were driving and I said we would be there at 4:35pm and can we call them and he said yes. We got there at 4:45pm and well Wyndham was closed. They couldnโt accommodate our reservation. They told us we have to book 2 rooms. I wasnโt going to pay for something I shouldnโt have to since my reservation is for the amount of people in a 3 queen bedroom. They called the area manager and he talked to me on the phone. He started off as nice and then turned into an a-hole. I asked why they canโt just give us a 2 queen bedroom and we will sleep 3 to a bed and just comp it as they will get paid on the other reservation. He said he canโt. I said well this situation isnโt my fault. He tells me itโs not his fault either and blames Wyndham. Wyndham customer service closed at 6pm EST and we are Pacific Time. Then he had the audacity to tell me that as soon as the guy called me, we should have immediately pulled over and called Wyndham! I told him the convo I had with the other guy and how he said it would be okay when we got there at 4:35pm. He tells me that he didnโt know they closed at 6pm EST. I said I didnโt either! They are a Wyndham property so they should know more about Wyndham than me! He started raising his voice at me so I threw the phone down and walked out. As an area manager, you donโt start raising your voice at a customer! Our 3 year old started screaming in the car because we were leaving the โholiday hotelโ. My husband called the hotel back so they can hear her screaming. The girl started offering to give us a 20% discount on booking the two rooms we would now need. Iโm sorry, noโฆyou lost your chance when we were in there asking what they could do for us to accommodate their error. We were already in the car for almost 6 hours and we just kept driving north. Luckily we found a campground to stay the night. Also, before we booked the hotel, my husband called and asked if they can accommodate a suburban towing a 25ft travel trailer and the guy said yes. That was also a LIE! They canโt accommodate travel trailer, rvโs or anything you are towing. Will tell everyone to stay away from this place. Sounds like they are crooks who over book and then want to make you book extra rooms to make money.

VVida67The pictures on the site look new, though the hotel is old and it shows. The outside needs new paint and repair. The room ( king) appeared clean until the bathroom where I found left over soap in the shower. The shower faucet wouldnโt completely turn off, so loud dripping . All rooms have mini fridge and micro which appeared clean but freezer part was iced over so nothing fit in that section. Heater worked well, as did the TV. Side table was broke and pushed up against the wall for that reason. Mix of tourist and locals who just want a room to play music loudly and party. Called the front desk 10 times and no answer though they are suppose to be 24 hours available. Great rate and nice staff.
