Hotel El Español Paseo de Montejo Reviews

From the start even before my trip the staff were very accommodating to allow me to check in a bit later as my flight arrived after usual check in schedule (which Trip.com was able to assist with the change). Service was really great people and the staff are very nice and helpful to answer any questions. They upgraded my double bed to a king. The room was very clean and had a great view of Paseo Montejo. The pool was outdoors and enjoyable with nice weather and the gym was adequate. The staff member called a taxi for me when I left and waited outside to hail it down. I would definitely come back for the impeccable service and friendly staff! Location itself was a big plus as well!

The location is good, not far from the city center, about 2 kilometers away. The avenue outside the hotel can be used for jogging, making it a holy place for morning jogging. There are art markets, restaurants, and bars on weekends, so you can definitely have a pleasant holiday and enjoy dinner with your family and friends. The hotel's buffet breakfast is not expensive, so consider buying more.

Following an inconvenient two-night stay at our previous hotel, we were pleasantly surprised by the offerings of this hotel at the same price point. The staff exhibited kindness and friendliness, and despite not being in the heart of the city, the location provided alternative, enjoyable options like leisurely walks down Montejo and convenient access to excellent restaurants within walking distance.

first room the bed has a huge stain down the side, bathroom toilet had a stain on it. smelled musty. second room toilet was also dirty, bathroom smelled musty. by far the worst hotel i have ever stayed at. will never recommend to anyone

The stay was quiet and safe with a helpful staff. The buffet on Saturdays was awesome with excellent food.

They gave me a room with communication door with another room Wich have bad neighbors. After a bad night because of the noises I ask to change room they said no rom available and to come back in afternoon I gave my magnetic card and store my luggage. ´´ came back afternoon I gave me a 2 little beds (I paid for king size) plus charge me 100 pesos for a new card. No glass and minfridge put a little more$for hollidays inn just beside

Hotel in center of the town, not expensive,a lot of restaurants in working distance,good parking.

Dirty room, no hot water in the shower. The sink was clogged and the breakfast was terrible for the price.
