Knights Inn Merritt

This property is making a good effort to improve the facility. Recent renovations have made the space nice but not as nice as the photos suggested. The beds were on old box springs and bedding felt dated. Kitchen was minimally equipped and I had to request some additional items to even have what would be needed to accomodate our booked guests. The lack of ventilation for a gas stove was interesting as was the exposed hot water tank in the unit. Service staff were attentive to requests. Room was average clean. Bathroom was very clean.

Clean and spacious

I had a great night at the Knight's Inn, the property was perfectly clean, the linens were immaculate. The entire motel has been recently renovated, they are even renovating the center area, which was the only area that wasn't 5 star,. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms are not perfectly sound proof but the other guests staying there were not partiers mostly families and a few geologists, that were staying long term and really nice people. So it was a quiet night on a clean comfortable mattress. Love that they are pet friendly and only charge 20 extra for pets. I'd definitely stay here again on my way through! families and they were

On the plus side there was a fridge & microwave, plates, glasses & utensils & the bed was comfortable. On the minus side it was very, very tiny. When you opened the door the bed was right there with very little clearance for the door. There was no sink in the bathroom, instead there was a sink in the kitchen which was used for everything - washing dishes, brushing teeth, washing face & hands, etc. No mirror in the bathroom; it was over the kitchen sink so you had to do your hair over the kitchen sink. Unsanitary.

One of the best hotels to stay at - with all amenities in the two room unit. Very clean and well set kitchen bathrom and living room area. one of the first hotels when approaching from Kelowna area. The list of businesses in the area was *very* helpful. Would definitely stay here again when in Merritt

accessible and clean rooms

Holes in the walls behind the dresser. Drywall rotting in the bathroom, lousy bed and very noisy. Don’t understand why it has such a high rating. Will never stay there again.

The only problem we encountered was that we were in a room seemingly tucked between a couple of rooms or suites being used by/rented to some long term residents/area workers. This resulted in some relatively unpleasant cooking smells infiltrating our room and remaining with us along with the noise associated with the activity.
