We were stranded at the Metz Ville railway station today with our booked accommodation failing to email our accommodation address. By accident I stumbled across the Campanile Hotel, 3 minutes from the station. From the moment I walked in the staff were so helpful, kind and empathetic to our situation. They served us tea, allowed access to their Wifi and sitting area so we could try and resolve our situation. We couldn’t so booked a room- clean, comfortable beds, a lovely fresh room and bathroom; more than adequate for our needs. And a very reasonable price. But the staff were superb! Nothing was too much trouble- they tried to source tours and answered a multitude of questions. Special mention must be made of Fativa- an absolute gem! So kind, so caring and so patient. Her dinner recommendation was fabulous! Campanile Hotel saved our day!

We were very nicely surprised during our stay. Very good services, very soundproofed and very pleasant staff. We will return without hesitation during our next stay! Very well located also, everything can be done on foot.
Jean-Marie after having spent several years working in various restaurants in France returned to his native area to breathe new life into this Lorraine farm. A love of country produce and respect for traditions are combined here in the Grange de Conde where personalised hospitality remains a permanent priority. Chic and authentic establishment. Heated swimming pool steam room whirlpool bath. The excellent cellar ensures that the fine cuisine is accompanied in the very best manner. High-quality produce from the vegetable garden prepared in the regional manner. Well-appointed rooms including three suites.

I booked from 23 October to 25 October, with Hotels and on my behalf, a double for my wife and daughter who had to start an International Tennis Tournament in the neighboring Esch Alzette On the morning 25 my wife warns the reception at 6.45 AM that she should be accompanied by my daughter for the Tournament and since playing at 9.00 if win you confirm for another night. So they allow to leave your luggage in the tournament with an undertaking to warn the hotel against 12:00. Because my daughter is over the turn, in the morning of the reception, with Hotels and on my behalf, paying by card for another night. At 20 p.m. the receptionist is claiming to pay another room that was blocked on behalf of my daughter, while the room paid by me was considered an additional room. Only the police call, which had been hardly intercepted by the receptionist, avoided this unfair attempt to cheat. The worst thing was the mails sent by the Directorate that did not excuse me, also stressing that they disturbed the police for useless things.

GGuest UserI’d liked to say I loved this hotel, but I can’t. Being a 400+ year old building on the historic list means there is little the owners can do to make major improvements. Check in was easy. Our room was in the annex a couple doors down from the main entrance. A few items leading to the room could stand to be refurbished, such as the stairs and carpet runner on them. Those same items however, gave the hotel character. The access the annex rooms one needed needed to pass through two doors, each requiring a code. The room was large and had an intimate and historic feel to it. The period style furnishings added to that feeling. Our room overlooked the cathedral. The bed was uncomfortable to us, but would be fine to others. The bathroom was actually two rooms. One had the toilet while the other had the sink and tub. This is somewhat common in this part of Europe and wasn’t the first room we’ve been in that had that setup. There was a hand held sprayer, but no shower curtain, so one needed to be careful of where it was pointed. It did have a kettle for boiling water, but no safe or small refrigerator. There is supposedly air conditioning, but after turning it on we didn’t notice a difference or even hear the fan blowing. An email from the hotel said one can stop in front to drop off luggage, then go to a nearby parking garage. The issue with that is, the hotel is in a restricted driving zone with bollards prohibiting entry. After trying a couple different ways, we just went to the parking garage that is a 4 minutes walk from the hotel. Parking is discounted for hotel guests. We opted to pay 12€ for breakfast. It was typical European and had plenty of fresh fruits and bread items, eggs, cheeses, cereal, yogurt, tea, juice, coffee. The hotel is located across from the cathedral and near plenty of restaurants. Also, the are two free shuttle busses (N81, N83) that go around different parts of the city. They are like a free hop on, hop off bus and run about every 15 minutes.
LLinda GWe chose this hotel because of the location which is in the city center. Really great location on walking distance from the shops and restaurants. You need to book the parking garage under the hotel in advance. We did not do that but luckily there was a place available, costs are 9 Euro. Check in at the hotel was ok but the receptionist was not very friendly. At check out there was a nice lady who was friendly. The room is small but ok. The bathroom was a huge disappointment, very outdated and needs renovation. The shower is situated in the corner and therefore very small. It has a shower curtain which I do not find hygienic. Bathroom joints are dirty and in the sink there was a yellow stain. Toilet seat was not steady. There was no bottle of water in the room. There only was a kettle, but no tea bags, cups, sugar etc. I think there are better options for a hotel in Metz.
Everything was excellent apart from the signage to enter the car park, due to the one-way system you can't see the sign and so pass it and so have to go all around again. This would be an easy fix I'm sure, and didn't distract from a great stay. Driving a plug-in car it was great to see a charging point that was free to use. On entering the hotel the receptionist was welcoming and efficient, our room was high quality and with plenty of electrical outlets and other items that made our stay comfortable. The location is far enough out to be quiet but a short easy walk to the centre and all the sights. The quality of our afternoon meal and the breakfast were both very good as were all of the staff that we encountered. When visiting Metz I will definitely stay here again.
TTulo123This is one of my favourite hotels as I drive from France to Sweden with my dogs. Lovely staff that always go out for their way to make the stay enjoyable and even let me have room service really late in the evening, when I was tired after a long day of driving, and it normally was finished for the day. They speak good English. But the BEST with this hotel is the beds!! If I could sneak one home with me I would. ;) Super comfortable and lovely fluffy duvets and pillows in spacious rooms with complementary water and coffees and tea. The rooms are spacious. My dogs and I will be back! :)

I booked a room a few days in advance on their own website and noticed rooms for 2 or 3 persons were the same price but the rooms for 3 persons were much bigger so booked that one. We parked the car in the underground garage and walked to the hotel (maybe two minutes). Checking was quick and easy. The room was big, the bathroom small. The bed was good. We did not have breakfast at the hotel but it looked okay in passing.
BBeniVikiThe room is small and the equipment is average. It is a fast hotel. There are two supermarkets and KFC within 5 minutes walk. There is a good Chinese buffet in 15 minutes.
