We have stayed at many hotels in Mexico City including the Four Seasons, the St. Regis and the J.W. Marriott. All are beautiful hotels but are large and impersonal. The Alest feels like home. It is is beautifully appointed and comfortable. It is right in the heart of Polanco, an easy walk from the best restaurants and bars but on a very quiet street so one step removed from the hustle and bustle. What really sets the Alest apart though is the staff. They really want you to feel at home and they strive to accommodate your every need. Victor is incredible. He learned my wife’s and my name and the first day and greeted us by name every time we saw him the rest of our trip. Much has been written about the beautiful design of the hotel and it is beautiful but the ambiance created by the staff is what makes it truly remarkable.

Everything is great. Only issues are general noise in the hotel as well as staff service. Half are amazing and half aren’t.

This hotel is amazing. The service is impeccable and the food better than a lot of restaurants in the city. Victor the maitre’d Is so charming, friendly and attentive. All the staff were friendly and efficient and some can speak several languages . I came as a birthday treat with my 2 laughters so we had a double room which served all our needs. The beds and pillows were very comfy! It was so nice to stay in a friendly place rather than a high rise cooperate type hotel . Obviously I highly recommend it.

The hospitality staff to the cozy vibes and the modern layout, to the products provided… Everything at this hotel was a 10/10. Thank you, Victor and EVERYONE! We felt safe and happy amongst the center of Polanco!

This hotel is exquisite. Rooms were beautiful, super clean and the all access, well stocked fridge and snack bar were awesome and included in the rate. Beds were so comfortable and the staff did a beautiful job making our rooms brand new and well stocked each day. Towels were luxurious. The included continental breakfast was never a disappoin**ent. This is a served breakfast, not a buffet. Fresh squeezed OJ, bread service, fruit service complete with yogurt, honey and granola, eggs and fresh blue corn tortillas were all provided with the immaculate attention of the staff, lead by Victor who greeted us by our names the first day and remembered our drink preferences. The Alest has a car that you can make arrangements for use. It’s a nice SUV that uses its AC (Ubers never do here) and is spacious if you are traveling with 4 (Ubers here run on the small side, even it you order an XL). The property is gorgeous and located within walking distances of the best restaurants and shopping. Our expectations were exceeded and we will return.

The Alest was perfect for my wife and I for our three day visit to Mexico City. Everyone was helpful, cheerful and attentive (especially Victor!). The included breakfast was excellent. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The amenities were generous and the location was great! It was a nice walk from several of the sights we wanted to visit (the museum of anthropology and the Chapultepec park and castle) and the Palanco’s quiet tree-lined streets create a great retreat from the bustle of the rest of the city. Just a gem!

Great space, amenities, and service. Great part of Polanco. Would stay again soon. Only recommendation is to request a room facing the road. Some rooms face into the hotel and could feel claustrophobic. Walking around Polanco is great and being close to the park is great.

A newly renovated boutique hotel with 19 rooms. It is beautifully appointed and the staff are gracious. Excellent location in Polanco just off Lincoln Park. Rooms are in muted tones and very comfortable. They have their own private car for additional charge to transport you upon request. The General Manager, Daniela Otero Vazquez was always available. We had one issue with the bathroom fan and it was taken care of immediately. I rarely post a review, and this hotel is exceptional. It definitely merits five stars in my opinion. Looking forward to a return visit. KK
