THIS IS MY SECOND STAY AT THE HOSTEL, AND THE STAFF MEMBER DURING THE EVENING SHIFT, ANDRE I BELIEVE IS HIS NAME GIVES A VERY WIERD CUSTOMER SERVICE, NOT RUDE, NOT EXACTLY BAD. HE COMPLAINS TO CUSTOMERS ABOUT ALL THE THINGS HE NEEDS TO DO, KEEP AN EYE ON THE FRONT DOOR, DO THE CHECK IN, SEE IF THE WATER TANK IS FULL.. ETC. HE HAS DONDE THIS TWICE WITH ME AND ITS NONSE. HE COMPLAINED TO ME THAT IT ITS MORE DIFFICULT FOR HIM TO TAKE A CREDIT CARD PAYMENT THAN PAYING WITH CASH, ALSO COMPLAINED TO ME ABOUT ALL THE THINGS HE HAS TO DO.
HE GIVES ALL THIS INFORMATION TO A CUSTOMER THAT ONLY WANTS TO CHECK IN AND GO TO SLEEP, IT SEEMS HE SHOULD BE COMPLAINING TO HIS MANAGER.
I REALLY WILL CONSIDER STAYING SOMEWHERE ELSE ON MY NEXT TRIP TO MEXICO CITY BECAUSE OF THIS, THERE ARE OTHER HOSTELS AROUND WITH SAME PRICES AND LESS NONSENSE. TELL HIM TO STOP DOING THIS NONSE COMPLAINING.

The bathroom for women is just on the 1rst floor, with 2 toilets and 3 showers for all the building and we have to share it with the people of the rooftop (Disco). It is always dirty and smells bad. We didn't know that the "terrace" is a rooftop Disco, therefore it is too loud until 1am approx. The door of the Catrina room had no doorknob and couldn't be closed, with the wind is almost always opened, there is not security at all, even if there some lockers. The staff is not really informed about the services they offered, like the rooftop, guard at the bathroom, laundry, etc. The shared room is equipped with 15 beds, stacked 3 beds upon each other. Not recommended. The good things were breakfast and the location in the middle of the centre.

Visité el hostal por recomendación de unos amigos y me llevé una grata sorpresa. El diseño y decoración son muy acogedores, te hacen sentir como si estuvieras en el Mexico antiguo. Nos hospedamos en una habitación muy cómoda para parejas y el servicio en todo momento fue impecable, todo el personal está enfocado en brindarte una buena experiencia y hacerte sentir como en casa. La terraza no estaba habilitada pero si puedes subir a ver la vista, además la ubicación es muy céntrica y puedes salir a conocer el centro de la ciudad o a caminar sin problemas.

Staff claimed all the bottom and middle bunks were booked and they remained empty. The third bunk ladder was unsafe and covered by another guest’s items.

I visited MexiquiZocalo with my partner during the festival of the death in Mexico City and it was amazing to stay a few blocks from everywhere. The place is perfect for travelers, like me, who love to walk through the city. The subway is so near that you can go anywhere you would like. The people working there are so warm and polite that it gave me a great experience with Mexico and their people! definitely I will come back!!
