I went there three years ago and it felt quite high-end. When I went back this time, it was different from the past. There were few breakfast items, the room was small, and there was a big gap between price and service. Miami is not the Miami of yesterday, and the Ritz-Carlton is no longer glorious.

The room smelt damp, mouldy… not the best smell for a RC hotel. They shut the A/C down one night for maintenance and the room got uncomfortably hot. That then teamed with a fire alarm at 1am & then again at 5am (obviously caused by the work being carried out) was not a great night stay. After all a hotels basic fulfilment is for a place to sleep!! The staff at the hotel were great 5 star service from the beach, pool, doormen/valet and checkin.
