This hotel is a good option for visiting Miami on a budget. The hotel has a nice-sized, gated car park. It costs $25/night, but there aren't many other parking options nearby, and it's a cheaper rate than hotels in South Beach. We checked in, paid for the parking, and went to our room. Our room was on the first floor, overlooking the pool. There was a short flight of stairs up with no lift. The room was large and clean with two queen beds. There was a good sized fridge. There was a television, but the picture was very low quality. The air con was decent. The bathroom was a little small, and the shower was prone to flooding the floor, which was a bit annoying. The hotel has no breakfast, but there are a number of restaurants and a Walgreens and a Publix within 5 mins walk. The hotel has a pool, and was just a short walk from the beach. North Beach is much cooler in temperature than South Beach, and we found the beach really windy, but we still enjoyed a couple of hours there. This is a good option if you want to visit South Beach but cannot afford a hotel down there, as it is well-served by both public buses and the free tourist trolley. Catch the bus from the southbound bus stop just behind the hotel. We generally used the city buses as they are much more frequent and take you all the way to downtown without changing. They also run until the early hours of the morning. Just be mindful that the traffic can be pretty horrific in Miami. Unfortunately, our visit coincided with Art Basel which we didn't know about, which massively impacted the traffic all across the city. It took two hours on a Friday night to get from the hotel to the HRC in Miami, but I believe this is atypical. We were reasonably happy with our stay.
