The Gabriel in South Beach was beautiful. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the beach. We loved the preservation of the original art deco, while still keeping a modern and clean feel. The lobby smelled excellent, clean, and luxurious. We had a wonderful experience with Tim, the hotel manager, who showed us the two pools and stowed our bags before check in. Keith, another staff member, was welcoming and friendly towards our family. Our interactions with all staff were positive. The only two critiques I have are the parking situation and the area around. The hotel offers a pricey valet, and no on-site parking. We had to park in an expensive garage overnight a block away. Additionally, the area around the hotel was noisy, crowded, full of tourists. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay at the Gabriel and we would come again.

A tip: Don’t use the valet car service here. You will thank me. A few feet next door at the Majestic the valet service is cheaper and better and you can use it when you stay at the Gabriel . This valet service is under-manned and expensive and chaotic w very long waits for your car. . The hotel itself has lovely Art Deco decor and a lovely pool and the hotel is well situated on Ocean Drive in the heart of South. The rooms in this hotel are a few levels above college dorm rooms. The service people however are responsive and nice.

Given the downtown location, noise is inevitable, for which the design of the hotel has to accommodate and mitigate. I found the noise created by the adjacent highway to be excessive and constant, (day and night). The use of so much glass and aluminum in the finish of the rooms, without the ability to block out the lights at night, makes the stay less than ideal and not restful.

This is about our third time staying at The Gabriel Downtown Miami. We are always greeted with a smile and great customer service from Luillhy, Rick and Elizabeth ant the front desk and lobby, and the stay is a comfortable one. We always come back!

Apparently the hotel lacks a manager, or does his job very poorly.
Two days they didn't make our room, and another two days they didn't give us body cream or towels.
The service of their consumption centers (restaurants) is disastrous. They are always late or there is no food.
It is the worst hotel with cost-benefit. BAD AND EXPENSIVE

I really enjoyed my stay. The service was phenomenal though I will say the aesthetic of the rooms left much to be desired. However, the service is what brought my stay from a 4 to a 5. Steve R. was particularly helpful whenever I needed help with my bags or food deliveries. Also, the hotel allowed me to check-in early which was helpful due to my early morning flight.

I attached pictures of this place to show everyone how amazing it is. Thank you Julio (Revenue Director) for all your help. These rooms have all that you need. The pool, structure and views are OUTSTANDING and the fitness center if SUPER GREAT. Don’t look anywhere else.
