The room was not available at the time of check-in. Although at the reception they treated us very well. The room was poorly cleaned, hair on the floors and so on. The place appeared to be lacking in maintenance. Otherwise the facilities are very good, swimming pool and gym excellent.

We arrived at the Hacienda - the hotel is in a beautiful setting, clean and front of house very polite. Maids also very happy & smiley. Sounds great BUT this was a reunion after 10yrs & sadly other areas were dreadful. Quality of food substandard,presentation awful and ran out often. 3 out of 30 friends had plastic left on burgers and chicken served raw to learn from head waitress that one of the chefs is partially sighted!! Although good to employ special needs people as i am a carer but common sense surely to place them in the kitchen where cooking isn’t involved ??!!!

Lovely hotel. We only stayed the one night as the hotel we originally booked in was full, and we were rebooked into this hotel. Despite arriving at 9pm, we were still able to get an evening meal in the restaurant. The food was OK, but I don't think I would have taken a meal package as the choice was limited and not very warm. After food, we sat outside and thought we would have a drink or two. Beware the bar closed at 11pm. As the hotel situated in the middle of nowhere we couldn't walk to another bar or restaurant. It would be advisable to have a car if you are staying here. The room was spacious. Had a tv with Spanish channels, fridge, safe and hairdryer. Comfortable large bed. There are not many plugs for charging. I had to unplug the side lamp to charge the phone. There was no balcony, but lots of the rooms appeared to have one. Breakfast was included in our room and was OK. Lovely to be able to sit in or outside the restaurant. Grounds were great. Large pool, which had a fence around to stop children falling in. Steps and a hoist for less mobile people. There was also a lifeguard on duty. Lots of sunbeds around the grounds too. Hotel would be good for people with mobility issues as there are ramps to reception as well as a lift. Given 4 stars and not more as food was just OK and it was in the middle of nowhere. There is plenty of free parking.

Une belle bâtisse mais le reste laisse à désirer. Nous avons été hébergés en sous sol au fond d’un couloir dans des chambres d’hôpitaux!!!!

A bit like Fawlty Towers Air con doesn’t go below 22. Don’t heat my house that high. Bar man is in the wrong business. Don’t think he could be any more rude and unhelpful. Out of beer, fresh orange juice and smoothies. All on the drinks list. Nobody bothered to clear our plates between courses. Food was uninspiring. One of our party had to ask them to clean the room when he arrived. Didn’t look like anyone has set foot in there for several years

Staff friendly and helpful although hotel seemed understaffed at times. Room we had could do with an upgrade - it was tired looking a bit scruffy in places withno easy access sockets for charging. Lovely grounds but pool could do with a good clean i.e black mould round skimmers and drainage outlet bottom of pool. Easy access by bus to Mijas Pueblo and Fuengirola but hotel itself could do with iccasional entertainment in evening.
