4 star hotel WITHOUT Air Conditioning??? It makes no sense to spend the night with a wet towel on your body to cool off because the hotel turns the air OFF.
The rest is good, but paying a 4-star price and having to go through the heat is irritating, and if you open the window, mosquitoes come in.

Terrific breakfast. Staff cordial and helpful but not really friendly. It felt like they were just doing their job. For price I expected a bit bigger room. It was pretty sp****. Just the basics. Shower doors didn’t shut properly so bathroom floor was wet and slippery. My room was tucked away in the back with no view at all. It was close to restaurants which was nice. I honestly would not stay there again for the price they charge.

This is a very comfortable hotel in the classic Old Italian style. Slept great. Phenomenal breakfast. There’s no breakfast like this at any American hotel—eggs ( made from real eggs), bacon, breaks, croissants, cold cuts and cheeses, cut fruit, cereals, yogurt. A minor inconvenience was that they save energy by holding off on the AC until June, so no AC on a warm day in May. And the shower floor is very slippery when wet with no safety bar too hold onto. He suggested that I put a hand towel on the shower floor which did the trick.

Professional and warm welcome. Availability and responses for any request. Only suggestion: different management of breakfast in the morning because on Sunday the room was a bit crowded. Perhaps you need to filter the entrance and the length of stay to control the flow and therefore queues at the buffet and noise.

Would be difficult to beat this hotel if you're on a short break to get to know Milan. • Excellent location. Less than 10 mins to the main train station. Il Duomo is only three stops from the nearest Metro (Repubblica), which itself is only three minutes' walk away. • Several good restaurants on the doorstep. Supermarket across the road. • Decent size rooms, well furnished and comfortable. Clean. • Not without a hint of traditional character, which is quite unusual these days. • Efficient, polite and friendly staff. • Decent breakfast. • Overall, very good value for money.

Our room was good but it was very hot and no information on the air conditioning. Breakfast was ok. For a 4 star, we would have liked more tourist advice. No map to provide us with the points to visit. The hotel is a little far from the center.
