From the first moment we arrived the room was bloody hot and the airconditioning didn't work. Several people of the hotel came by and told us they "fixed" the problem but time after time it wasn't fixed. Mostly they came in the night which was strange because we already noted the problem when we checked in and they dropped the bags in our room. Because it still didn't work, they gave us a fan with a big blue light on it (so that obviously didn't work while sleeping). Opening a window was also not a possibility as the hotel is located next to one of the biggest and busiest streets of Milan with a lot of noise. When we were away on our second night, I called them multiple times to check if the problem was fixed. They assured me it was fixed, by several different people. By arriving back at the hotel the room again was bloody hot and by then they offered us to move to another room at 01:00 in the night... Switching rooms in the middle of night, what a solution and why couldn't this be earlier? The morning after, I went to the reception and after 2 bloody hot nights they told me that the reason the airconditioning didn't work was because the municipality doesn't allows the airconditioning to cool (instead warm) before a certain date. So the whole hotel had the same. I was flabbergasted: 1) firstly if that's the case, why don't you give your guests a heads up before they book the room? 2) secondly why don't you have a suitable solution for this problem as it is a problem you already knew about for a long time 3) why are you offering a new room if that rooms has the same problem? I'm travelling a lot, am a ME Melia gold member but this was the worst service I had in a long time. I paid 500,- a night. Nothing against Me Melia, the hotel in Ibiza is amazing, but this was to say at least a very bad experience and dissappointing and I would absolutely won't recommend the place. Still did not receive any compensating or reactions on mentioning the problems. Maybe this will wake someone up.
