Cottonwood Motor Inn

The motel is not far from shops, the room is clean and the bed comfortable but we were disappinted to find the TV not working and the next morning that there was no hairdryer provided - I did miss this in the blurb.

Recently stayed here for 3 nights booking 2 rooms for our group.(both rooms appeared to be similar) The check in process was simple and the staff were friendly. Whilst this motel is old the rooms have undergone some renovations with fresh and clean bathrooms and new carpet and paint throughout which is a great touch, obviously there are newish owners and they are trying to get this back up to a standard that people will love but it takes time, however our main room looked out onto the car park and basically you couldn't open your blinds if you wanted any privacy as there was no sheer curtains that would allow the blinds to be opened and allow light in without everyone peering in, the other thing we noticed was that the couch/fold out bed, looked like it was from the 90's and didn't go with the rest of the room decor, it also had a wall light that was also outdated, just some things that would make the whole room look modern if updated. The bed whilst it was comfortable, it was two singles beds joined together with a very thin mattress topper, but you could feel the joins/edges of the bed any time you went near the centre of the bed, so that part was annoying. They advertise a restaurant but it looks like it doesn't operate so you will need to eat elsewhere, but there are a few options reasonably close by. I am sure given time and more travellers staying here the owners will be able to carry out more updates and this place will be wonderful once again, we would definitely stay here again if needing a motel in Mildura.

Visiting with friends the family unit was well equipped for our stay. Microwave and full size fridge. Outdoor table and chairs. Pool was being repaired but to cold to swim. The motel is on a Main Street but very quiet inside. Would definitely stay next time we are in town.

Reading some past reviews this motel must have been refurbished since 2020. Bathroom was modern with lots of hot water, everything spotless and well thought out. Very good value, and a quiet nights sleep, for the price.

Super clean rooms.. super obliging staff.. plenty of parking. We were towing a large trailer and staff helped us out with a tarp when it rained overnight . So thoughtful of them to help us out. Would definitely stay here again. The hotel is close to town and food outlets.
