Very old-fashioned hotel in the city center, parking is a little expensive, opposite the public parking lot, ask the waiter how much parking fees, actually do not know the answer, do not take the initiative to load and unload luggage, this is a bad review.
You will be captivated by the 1920s grandeur of marble floors and polished nickel sconces fused with contemporary comforts like free WiFi a 24/7 gym and on-site dining at the Ambassador Hotel Milwaukee Trademark Collection by Wyndham. Let me start that most of the bad reviews are out of this Hotels hands. They can’t help since Hosting the first Oscars that the neighbourhood has gone down hill or that the rooms do get old. The good is that the rooms are huge with great beds and pillows. This would have a 5 Star if they would just open the Classic Bar area to relax instead of eating at the McDonalds across the street! Finally, the shuttle service to the ballpark is great thanks to Kennedy. He is professional, kind and takes everyone’s phone calls. I hope he got a raise recently! Shuttle is FREE so don’t forget to Tip Kennedy.
Conveniently located off I-94 and I-894 at the WI State Fair Park Grounds, The Hampton Inn and Suites Milwaukee West offers easy access to downtown, and the business and entertainment districts of Milwaukee. Pros: This is a great hotel for visiting the Wisconsin State Fair. It’s an easy 5 minute walk from the entrance. And meant we could maximise our visit, even taking the kids back for a post lunchtime swim to avoid the midday heat, before going back again for evening. The room was nice enough and there’s a small indoor pool that’s good for kids. Disappointing was that covid seems to mean that rooms are not cleaned daily and breakfast, while reasonably good food, is served on styrofoam plates, with plastic cutlery and paper coffee cups. The waste from this breakfast restaurant alone has a huge impact, and disappointing from a Hilton hotel that’s there’s not a covid friendly, less environmental impact alternative. Would have thought that hot water dishwashers would work.

Very close to the airport, convenient, the hotel is very cost-effective, the room is clean, breakfast is good at the same price hotel I arrived at the airport at 12 o'clock in the evening. I waited for 40 minutes to see the shuttle bus of the hotel, called the hotel, and finally asked me to find another company's car at the airport. I took more than an hour to get on the hotel car.

I am a Diamond HHonors member, and selected this hotel as I enjoy Embassy Suites properties, and this one was conveniently located. Checking In, I was given a room on the second floor which was adequately cleaned. Usually upon checking in, I unpack my bag and hang my shirts in the bathroom to steam out the wrinkles with a hot shower running. This time, I did not do it, although I wish I had, as I paid the price in the morning. When I woke up, after going to the gym (also adequate) I turned on the shower and noticed the control seemed to be reversed. After letting the water run, I was only able to get it to the point where the ”hot” water was lukewarm at best. I checked the sink which had plenty of hot water. Anyways, I had to get my day going, so I settled for a quick cold shower. I let the front desk know when I checked out, so that they could fix it. The front desk person asked if I wanted the manager to contact me, which I replied, yes, of course. It has been almost a month, and I still had not been contacted by any manager. When selecting a hotel, the main things I look for are a clean bed and a hot shower. This property missed, and the management missed as well.

Simple but extremely comfortable motel. Rooms are of the old school style with doors opening to the exterior. Beds comfortable with quality sheets and towels. Atmosphere is quiet, great for a good night of sleep. Front desk staff is friendly and very accommodating. You feel at home at this motel. No breakfast is provided with the stay, but with the money you save you can go out to get a breakfast of your choice. Short drive to Concordia University and Kapco Park.

Excellent
TTaylorMy husband and I travel to Milwaukee each year for his birthday. We chose this hotel for its location in proximity to our dinner reservation and the attractions we had planned. There were several negative reviews for this hotel regarding check in, cleanliness, and parking, I'd like to share my feedback to ensure travelers do not deter from staying at this hotel for those reasons. Upon arrival we were promptly greeted by a friendly front desk staff and were able to check in promptly at 4pm. We were able to conveniently park in their side lot while we brought our belongings up to our room. The room was extremely spacious and had beautiful upgrades and convenient amenities such as a full kitchen. The high ceilings really made this room unique. Everything in the room was very clean. There is a parking garage directly across from the hotel which was easy to access and only cost $22.00 a night to park. When staying in downtown MKE it is to be expected that you will pay for parking, and knowing our car was in a covered garage was peace of mind. We choose to Uber to our destinations, so we didn't have to find parking multiple times, and we never had to wait more than a few minutes for our ride to arrive. My only disappointment was there was no happy hour. I was under the impression there was a cocktail hour offered, but it didn't take away from our stay, as there were several liquor stores within walking distance to grab a drink for the room while we got ready. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful with options, fresh, hot, and the egg bites were delicious. The last thing I will add which is huge for me, they have complimentary water, hot water for tea, and coffee in the lobby at all times. I hate forgetting to bring a water bottle for the middle of the night when staying at a hotel, so I loved this feature. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again in the future! Don't let the negative reviews sway your decision. This was a beautiful, newly converted hotel that you should absolutely check out next time you are staying in the area.
WWEIGANGKing bed room. The room is much smaller than the Hilton City Center in the next few days. The facilities in public places are also lower. Fortunately, there are some business trips.
GGuest UserGreat location and comfy bed. Room was nice size… we had a junior suite. The decor of room was a little garage sale eclectic. Wall clock did not work. Nice having a full-size kitchen. If you think you see two little girls walking down the hallway holding hands and a little boy riding a big big wheel, don’t worry it’s just your imagination! Surprise no complementary coffee or coffee maker in room. Only place to get coffee is lobby and they charge. Kind of a bummer fora hotel in this day and age, especially for the cost.
SSHUQINGThe location is good, in the city center, very close to the Bucks' home stadium, walking distance. The front desk staff was welcoming and felt at home. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good.
GGuest UserI was a GM for a Country Inn & Suites so it’s in me to inspect whether I like it or not. This CIS was great! I of course saw a spot here or there that could use a touch up of paint or something but the property was clean across the board. The desk staff were welcoming, asked what I needed and delivered. I didn’t catch the housekeeper’s name on the third floor but her laugh was contagious and she was nice as she could be. I had my concerns about an airport property, but they delivered a great stay! Thanks!
GGuest UserPositives: the proximity to places and things to do downtown, the free shuttle to nearby places, parking and breakfast included in the rate. Negatives: 1.) The lack of cleanliness in the hotel: the room had dirt, crumbs and other small things (even a pill of some sort!) that hadn't been swept/vacuumed up on the floor, there was sticky jam on the wall in one spot that hadn't been wiped up. The room didn't smell fresh or clean either. In the hotel hallway on our floor, there were a bunch of Goldfish crackers crushed on the floor and not vacuumed up for a whole day. 2.) The constant, disgusting smell of smoke and ********* in the hotel hallways (this is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel!) that made the air very stuffy, stinky and hard to breathe and made our clothes smell. 3.) The finishings in the room were lacking: there was a door coat hook and handle missing, there were paint touch ups all over certain walls in the room that were not the same color as the rest of the wall 4.) Lack of power outlets to charge phones and other electronic devices: there were very few power outlets available and none in convenient places like on, next to or anywhere near the nightstand and bed so that we could keep our phones next to the bed. 5.) The bed pillows were small and more like flimsy couch throw pillows than regular-size bed pillows. The were thin, unsupportive and made for a very uncomfortable night where I got little sleep due to the uncomfortable pillows and stuffy, smoky air in the hotel room and hallways.
GGuest UserKeep in mind when booking. This is an older hotel. All things older. The beds were comfortable enough and had satin bed covers, it was not warm in the room. Old and outdated tiny bathroom with a sink and mirror by the clothes rack. Our windows were so old, you could hear the wiz of the wind whipping around outside (and inside) People outside taking smoke breaks and whatever else, so noisey. We didn't sleep. Couldn't wait to leave.
GGuest UserWhen I get to the front desk the lady was talking to I guess the security he had a yellow vest and a yellow light on his truck🤷🏾♀️ But that Wasn’t the problem her attitude was it was horrible but I ignored it and was still polite got my room and when I pull in to park a girl run outside to make sure her door was locked (sketchy) but I ignore it go to my room and it a board in the sliding door to keep it locked I suppose cuz the door doesn’t lock chicken bones under the couch sheets blankets and towels all dingy door hard to open furniture in the hall way….. I guess they Renovating the hotel, they should closed it till it’s done…. And oh yea I couldn’t sleep cuz my neighbors was outside by the sliding door all night with a crying baby….
