I was surprised at how moldy it was to remove dead skin cells on the heels. Mold is also quite noticeable on the tiles in the bathtub. There are several types of shampoo on the market and it was good to use them in various ways. However, there were cases where it was moldy. The breakfast buffet was very delicious with a nice view while looking at the sea. When I reheated the opening of the horse mackerel on the tabletop stove and ate it, it looked like freshly baked and was delicious. The chef always baked French toast and I was satisfied with the freshly baked French toast. However, it is very disappointing that the air conditioner on the ceiling also has a lot of mold. I've now stayed here twice and both times have been amazing. Chikurakan has different room types available. My first stay was a traditional room with mattresses/futons layed out after dinner. The next stay had that available plus a standard king size bed. Both rooms had an private outdoor onsen/bath and shower. They are totally private and it's so nice to bath on your own little area. The food at Chikurakan is amazing. Traditional Japanese dishes with primarily seafood. I cant say enough good things about this hotel and will always stay here when i am in the area.
