This was my first time staying at a Hyatt because the last stay at Hilton was so awful. Our first time visiting Minneapolis so i wanted a nice view of the city, checked in and the lady at the desk tried to argue with me about what I booked.. went back and forth, I showed her my screenshots of my receipt, she didn't apologize but she made it right. The overall stay was great, I was nervous with it being a pet friendly hotel that it would be dirty and stinky.. it wasn't. It was quiet, couldn't hear anyone in the next room or down the halls screaming. The garage fee said 1-24 hours of parking is $25. BUT, if you stay overnight it's $30 from the hotel—after claiming the hotel isn't connected to theirs.. so they're pocketing an extra $5 a night.. weird. I got charged an extra $30 / day of that on my bill. The breakfast food was fine, nothing to rave about but the kitchen staff was great. The black gentleman was very proper and so helpful! I paid for breakfast already when I booked the room so when I signed the check i just wrote the room number.. and still got charged for one day of it.. maybe they thought I wouldn't notice or maybe they do this to all of their guests? Also thought it was weird I got charged for my bottle of waters in the room because I wasn't an ELITE MEMBER. Other hotels have complimentary waters for their guests. Anyways, for the price I paid for this hotel already I should've have gotten charged the extra fees and whatever random taxes they added additionally. Would NOT stay at a Hyatt ever again!
