This was our second visit to the hotel, and we upgraded to an interior suite atrium which we loved. From the time we checked in and our room was ready to check out (Shout out to Heran and Aranza) everything was perfect. We went to a Twins game, Vikings game, and a Paul Weller concert at 1st Avenue. We ate at Black Sheep Pizza, drinks before the Twins game at Cuzzy's Bar, chicken wings and a grape ape shot at Runyons, then lunch at Smack Shack. We plan to be back in 2025.

The rooftop sauna, spa, and bar is incredible! But they don’t have cold plunges like the site says. If you plan on drinking beer, do the bucket add on to save $. Great decor. Swanky and busy bar scene. Rooftop sunset from a hot tub is like no other behind the skyline.

Our stay was wonderful! Our daughter got married there and we stayed there as well. Everything was amazing~ from the staff, the food, the event area and the rooms. I highly recommend!

Surprised my girlfriend with a suite at the Hewing for her birthday. We were both blown away by the room, the service and the incredible location within walking distance of a great part of the city!

This hotel is in a beautiful old warehouse. The rooms are clean stylish and have everything you need. The bars are cool as is the lobby. The front desk staff are incredibly accommodating and helpful. It’s a cut above your average hotel. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Hewing, and the staff was spectacular, friendly, and accommodating. The beds were comfy. If you stay on a weekend and are a particularly light sleeper, you may want to request a room in the back as the front of the hotel facing Washington has traffic noise until fairly late. That said, Hewing is operated by a group called "Aparium", and Aparium has instructed Hewing to charge every guest an additional "CC Recovery Fee." I was covering room+tax for several guests. When I reviewed the folios at check-out, the very bottom line of each summary had this CC Recovery Fee. When I asked, the front deck informed me that Aparium had instructed the hotel to add this credit card recovery fee to every invoice. When I asked if I could pay in cash, I was informed that it was not possible. So - Hewing (Aparium) is going to boost your bill by 3% for the privilege of using your credit card and disallow you from paying in cash. Copies of the five (5) invoices with the fee are shown below. Buyer beware!

For the price of this hotel, I would not recommend staying here. Thankfully I was there for only one night but during my stay, the toilet was constantly running and the mini fridge had a lot clicking noise every 45 minutes causing me to wake multiple times during the night. The roof top bar was nice but I am sure there are other places that have that also for the same price or maybe less.

Room cleaned 3 of 5 days (Horde the coffee) Half the spa jets work Bar understaffed for two wedding receptions ( upstairs bar closed for private) Room door rattled when the elevator went by making you think someone was knocking Noise from rooftop bar keeps you awake Somebody thinks a razor sharp axe in a shadow box is part of a relaxing room decor.
