I stayed at the Hilton Hotel on Miyakojima on weekdays in January because it was new with 4 family members (2 preschoolers). After all, the facilities, rooms, pools, etc. were very clean and comfortable. The location is about 1,000 yen one way by taxi to the city, so I used the izakaya and Yakiniku restaurants in the city for dinner. However, there were some disappointments. The hotel is wonderful. It’s just a what you need when staying in Miyakojima. It’s not super fancy or anything, but has everything you could need for a stay there. The only issue is that they don’t come to clean your room or change sheets or anything. We were there 6 nights. It would have been nice for someone to come and sweep the floor or wipe down the surfaces once or twice.

In Miyako Island, I am taken care of every time in this inn. It is a room larger than a business hotel, and the cooler is cool and beautiful space. I like the bath very much to get hot water soon. The facilities are beautiful, there is a manga corner where you can rent it, and the beach in Sawada in front of the hotel is beautiful, but it seems that it is not suitable for swimming, so few people are swimming. The insects that were worried in the outer corridor also entered about two insects of the size of the nail, but there was an insecticide in the room, so it repelled. There was an infinity pool on the rooftop, but around noon, I was able to swim relaxing while watching the departure and arrival of the plane at the sea and Shimojijima Airport in the distance. This is an inn I would like to visit again next year.

I stayed for 3 nights in a 5th floor Standard Twin room in the Ocean Wing side of the resort. The Ocean Wing has 6 floors, and is older than the Coral Wing, which has 9 stories. While the Coral Wing apparently has wider views, the view from my room was nevertheless spectacular. Given the hotel faces West there’s a great view of the sunset from the ocean-view rooms. I also liked that my Ocean Wing room had wood floors. It was very spacious with 2 very comfortable double beds and a small seating area. The bathroom has shutters that you can open in order to see the view. A nice bonus was the beautiful Okinawa Botanicals bathroom products. While this is not a luxury resort, and the building and facilities are a bit dated, it is very well maintained. The grounds are gorgeous, with beautiful trees and gardens (and a very small golf course). The Yonaha-Maehama Beach on which the resort sits, is perfect - soft white sand and crystal clear water. You can access the beach on the south side of the resort only. There are lots of beach chairs and umbrellas maintained by the resort. I met a few staff who spoke good English, and with the others I had no problems communicating using the iPhone Translate app. The staff are so kind - absolutely every staff will greet you as you go by. I loved the restaurants, especially the barbecue restaurant. Also the buffet breakfast (included, you can also choose traditional Japanese breakfast) was excellent - I loved the fresh lychee and other fruits, omelette bar and espresso machine. I rented an electric-assist bike from the hotel’s beach club (¥1,000/hr) to explore Kurina-Jima, which was tons of fun. it was great having the 24-hour coin laundromat on site (wash ¥200, laundry soap provided). There are coin dryers or there was a full drying rack in the room, which was very convenient. The only thing I didn’t love about this resort was the pool. There’s unfortunately a raised platform that blocks most of the view of the ocean from the pool. I only saw kids and their parents use it during my stay. Fortunately the gorgeous beach is only steps away… Overall I found this resort to be super relaxing and excellent value for the price.

Located in Shigira Beach Resort, the whole resort is very large with many hotels. This hotel is far from the sea, but the facilities are very good, indoor swimming pool, beach beds, viewing balcony everything, it is a small luxury hotel. Outside the window is facing the lagoon inside the hotel. There are six or seven sea turtles. The mascot of the hotel is the sea turtle. The service is first-rate, and the breakfast is also good, especially the semi-outdoor seats, and I feel happy during the meal. There are many restaurants in the resort, all of which can be used. The sunset in the stardust garden is beautiful, and you can have dinner there. The Nanfeng BBQ in the style of Ryukyu has a very large set menu. I recommend set C with Miyako beef. There is also Saikai, soba noodles and vegetable tempura are good. There are also German cultural villages, cable cars, and semi-submarine fish watching boats at Boai Beach in the resort. If you want to book a taxi to tour the island, you can ask the hotel staff to make an appointment, which is very convenient. The transportation in the resort relies on the hotel's battery car and resort minibus, which is more convenient. It's a pity that it is far from the sea and I didn't enjoy the beach much, but the hotel itself is enough to enjoy.

I stayed on the 10th floor of the tower building, so the view from the window was wonderful and impressed!
