What can I say about Modica Boutique Hotel? I LOVED IT! LOCATION: GREAT! Easy to find, surrounded by many shops and restaurants. PARKING: Free Parking in a lock-up garage; private and very safe, with lift connected straight to Hotel. ROOM (Superior): Spacious, Modern, Very clean, Very comfy bed, Cozy linen, State of the art Shower, Relaxation at it's best! BREAKFAST: Spoiled for choice, everything fresh and delicious. Buffet Breakfast 'a la grande'! WATER MACHINE ON EACH FLOOR: Empty bottles provided for free cold or room temperature Natural and Sparkling Water HOTEL RESTAURANT: We had one dinner. Limited choice, however the food was cooked to perfect, presented well and we loved it. Very reasonably priced. STAFF: Polite, courteous, professional, and always with a smile. I highly recommend Modica Boutique Hotel, especially for those travelling with their car by ferry to Pozzallo, as it is only 20min drive. You will not regret it. A beautiful setting, isolated and quiet, with a lovely pool area. We stayed in a suite that was very roomy, with a large double bedroom and a smaller single room upstairs. Downstairs had a small kitchen corner (which we didn't use other than the refrigerator) as well as a dining table and chairs and a comfortable sofa. Sky TV with all the sports channels (in Italian, obviously) was a nice surprise and came in useful as we weren't lucky with the weather. There are no other restaurants within walking distance - it's a 15 minute drive into Modica - so we ate at the restaurant every night for a week. This was not a problem as everything we ate was DELICIOUS. Enough variation on the menu to eat something different every night if you wanted to, but the dishes we had early on were so good we had them all twice. The best pinsas I've ever tasted - a world away from 'pizza' in the UK. Very reasonable prices as well, including wine. We only spent one day by the pool (because of the weather!) but it looked as though there would be plenty of sunbeds available even if all the guests decided to visit. Most importantly, all the hotel and restaurant staff were extremely friendly and helpful, which really made the stay as good as it could be.

We first visited Modica Palace Hotel last summer and loved it so much we decided to return. We soon found that things had dramatically changed. We were old the hotel had changed hands. Skeleton staff, dinner that used to be amazing but now on a set menu that never changes so for us with the half board would have meant eating the same things for a week. The staff tried to help but we were not enjoying our meals at all. There were only 4 people dining in the restaurant each night whereas last year it was always full and despite this we had to wait for hours to be served. On more than one occasion our food did not arrive as ordered and we sent it back. On our last night I ordered a steak well done and I received it rare at which point we just got up and left. It is obvious that there are issues at management level, cost cuts is the one standing out but what was unacceptable was the Manager's behaviour. When we asked for a refund on our meal he got angry and his behaviour was quite aggressive, he told us there were no problems with the hotel and the reviews were good. He was not interested in listening to our feedback and he just left while we were talking and slammed the door on us. If I was the owner of this business I would be worried. A good manager always tries to accommodate customers and listen to their issues even act out on them so that customers do actually go back. I have recommended this hotel to so many people but will no longer do that and definitely will not return. It's such a shame.

Il percorso benessere composto da: Bio Sauna, Docce Emozionali ,Sauna alle Erbe, Bagno Turco ,Sauna Finlandese,Idromassaggio,Piscina Cromo-Terapica, Cascata di Ghiaccio, Angolo Tisaneria e Zone Relax. During our tour to Sicilia, stayed in this Palazzo for two nights, and if you stand before the green gate, you wouldn't expect that there is another building with patio. We were very friendly received and also told about the history of the Palazzo. Very nice story, and it gives something extra. the palazzo is already 4 generations family property that are barons. Now the grandson runs the B&B the grandparents live on the equal floor. We had the suite room, Baronessa, with view of the Duomo. A very beautiful spacious room, beautiful ceiling, authentic furniture. Also the breakfast room authentic. It has all its charm and gives a certain atmosphere. On the other hand, you pay some kind of comfort that we are normal in the present times. All was cracked, cared. Breakfast was just good, a small buffet. For us, it was possible to have been a little more / larger, but we didn't leave with hunger. Nic to stay there once, but 2 nights was enough. Qua location, in the middle of the city center of Modica with a lot of free parking for the door. Perfect base to visit the side of Sicilia.
