La Casa Safari Resort

We booked La Casa directly for 2nights and 3 days. We had paid half the price and the rest was due on arrival. Unfortunately we had a change of plans and were not able to stay. We told Mr Ajith we do not want the half we had already paid. However, since we are not staying could we not pay the rest. Mr Ajith insisted that we pay the remaining and said since he was the caretaker and not the owner that the remainder would be deducted from his salary if we did not pay. We spoke to the owner who said we have to pay as well. We were left in a difficult position and ended up paying the full price for a stay we did utilise. We were disappointed because there was no goodwill shown towards us from either Mr Ajith or the owner. Would not recomend.

Highly recommended, the service was so warm and attentive. The host was very kind, we were welcomed with refreshing drinks and had a great evening with amazing freshly prepared curries that tasted wonderful. We booked a safari with them and everything worked perfectly. We saw all kind of animals and after a successful morning we had breakfast just prepared for us (vegan). The food was in the Safari price included. If your looking for an authentic warm atmosphere, this is the right place for you.

Wow! We simply had the best time ever staying for two nights at La Casa! Adith and Sahan made us feel so welcome and made our stay very special. The treehouse room was perfect and clean, it was wonderful to be around so much nature. The garden here is incredible, they even have the Nidikumba shameplant and water lillies!! Adith cooks THE BEST food we have tasted, he is so kind and even let us cook with him to learn how to make his delicious vegetable curries ourselves at home (we LOVED the brinjal and spicy dahl!!). Sahan offers safari tours and took us on a half day tour of the national park, we saw elephants, water buffalos and so many exotic birds, he is very good at spotting the wildlife! After our tour he even took us to bathe in the lake and to see the elephant orphanage. Adith and Sahan made our stay what it was, you must visit this place just to be in the company of these two wonderful people! Thank you, we will be back! Caitlin & James :)

I stayed at La Casa for 2 nights with my boyfriend in January. We had an extremely bad experience there and originally left a harsh but true review on ***********. After we left the review on *********** the property started messaging me and got extremely DEFENSIVE and ABUSIVE. They cancelled my booking and tried to tell *********** that I was a no show so that my review would be deleted. Here are proof of photos that we stayed there, the abusive messages we received from them and a screenshot of my original review before editing it to this to show my review is NOT “FAKE”! They then proceeded to call my review “fake”, called my boyfriend and I ****** and they started threatening to call the police, and to complain to *********** and drive to my current location which was 2 hours away to “talk”. They also started telling me how much they really HATE Japanese people even though I told them multiple times I was from Ireland and I was not Japanese (I am Irish-Chinese and my boyfriend is Irish). As a guest that stayed there I was shocked and upset at how they started sending all of these unnecessary messages. I then got another message to say the chefs job was “terminated” and that I should learn how to “be kind” and they further told me how much they DESPISED Japanese people. Maybe La Casa and their staff need to learn how to “BE KIND” and not send a guest messages like this. If La Casa CANNOT HANDLE negative feedback and constructive criticism why are they even on *********** 🤷🏻‍♀️ If you are Japanese or any other race and plan to stay here in the future I would reconsider your decision, please DO NOT stay here. Spend your money elsewhere! I had to report and complain about this property to ***********. I have provided photos of our stay, nasty messages from the property and our Original review on trip advisor to warn future guests what they really are like here.

I was staying there with my friend for one night. Room was really specious and food was excellent! We can recommend also a morning safari organised by the place, as it wasn’t crowded and we saw many animals!
