Although the hotel is small, it is very nice. There are many services. When you go there, you will be given wine. It is delicious and the food is not bad.

Viajamos por luna de miel. Todo al detalle. Excelente personal en recepción y en el restaurante. Limpieza y tranquilidad. Desayuno muy completo y rico. Música muy agradable de fondo. Utilizamos el servicio de lavandería y todo fueron facilidades.

The hot shower was amazing! The toiletries were great and locally obtained. I loved that they are eco friendly. Food in restaurant was amazing. We would go back when we are in Monteverde again. Thanks

Great place to stay while visiting the area. The room was quite comfortable, the breakfast on site in the hotel's own restaurant was great, and there was a great second choice restaurant just across the street. We ended up eating there twice and the food was great with great prices. The hotel is convenient to everything but just far enough away from the noise of the downtown to relax and enjoy your visit. I would definitely stay there again.

Onze kamer had geen terras en was vrij duister. Er leek weinig zuurstof te zijn . De tv werkte niet en er is iemand gekomen om deze te herstellen maar het lukte niet. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk. De bedden waren comfortabel en ruim en het ontbijt was dik in orde. Er leken wel betere kamers met terras te zijn maar de onze was eerder basic.

Better than expected. Read reviews beforehand but was pleasantly surprised on arrival. Reception staff were extremely helpful. Room very spacious with coffee machine and fridge. No air con but we didn’t’t need it as cooler here at night. Our room 63 was at an end so had a couple of additional windows. Downside was that we had more road noise but this calmed down after 10pm. We were also unlucky as our block was close to the kids play area and has its own lounge area with board games etc. was completely taken over one night by a Spanish group with screaming kids. Not hotels fault but was a bit of a pain. Nice well tended gardens. Breakfast was very busy, we had to sit in the bar area as no other seats which meant we were forgotten about for coffee refills, collecting plates. Variety was ok, not the best we’ve seen on our Costa Rican tour but perfectly adequate. Bar/restaurant dead opposite with decent menu and reasonably priced. We ate there one night. Walking to town it too far and unsafe. Hilly and no pavements. Would say it is more like a ‘motel’ than a lodge.

We stayed 2 nights and we liked our stay. Our room was on the 1st floor and it was comfortable. We enjoyed looking at all the birds in the yards from the balcony or walking around the lodge and spotting more birds. The choices for breakfast were excellent and we also had an excellent evening meal at the restaurant.

Upon arrival, lodge looks decent, we noticed alot of seniors and families traveling from around the world staying here, but as night start to fall, we stayed closed to the lodge for dinner due to bad road condition to travel at night. After dinner, we proceed back to our lodge and walked around the lodge premise then returned back to our room, shower was ok, bathroom smells like old hotel with mildew, only top window at front of room can be open for venting, so I opened the room door to vent due to inside room feels hot, all of sudden at around 11pm, all lights turned off, pitch black around our room. Close door and proceed to sleep, wind howling sound from bottom of door and side of door make sleep impossible, amount of mosquitoes increased inside room. Bed is so hard, feels like sleeping on hardwood floor. Morning breakfast was average, front desk gal seems too fancy to work, almost feel like she want to work hands off with anything. Do yourself a favor, you are on vacation, pay more for a good night sleep at other hotel or lodges, we stayed at hotel Fondavela, much better, but it's away from center of town, but only 2km from monteverde cloud forest.
