Our three-night stay at this property was wonderful and we highly recommend the Ritz Montreal if you are planning for a vacation in the area. The gym is gorgeous, the cocktail pavilion beautiful, the staff is attentive and welcoming and the property is kept up meticulously. Our trip began before we arrived through a lovely phone conversation with Nicholas, who asked us for our preferences and about our plans to celebrate an anniversary. We were grateful for that! Rose petals and wine had been placed in our room upon arrival. Our room was ready and our bellman, (william?) explained all of the amenities available in our chambre. All needs were kept up in our room, all workings were perfectly operational and our housekeeping throughout our entire stay was fabulous. Turn down offered each night and not one issue with our room overall. The Japanese commode is a bit intimidating but good for a bit of comedy if you like. Our arrival was too late to have brunch in Restaurant Boulud, and it seemed they were closed when they were actually open for cocktails. We did go in later that day for an early cocktail and some small bites at the bar. The barkeeps were friendly and welcoming and encouraged us to visit the courtyard and the duckies outside, which we were glad we did. The drinks were creative and not surprisingly well constructed. The charcuterie was delicious but served with limited accoutrements. In the mornings, we ventured out to Mount Royal for a long walk, to old town or just for a jog. Jose was the doorman and each day offered warm greetings, directions, water or just a word of guidance. He was extremely helpful when we departed as well and I would say he was one of the greatest professionals there. The service for a glass of champagne in the pavilion was welcoming and attentive, and the bar is simply gorgeous. The tall, slim brunette gent who brought coffee to our room each morning was incredibly bright and friendly and we appreciated his demeanor each morning! Concierge Mr. Piero Termini was kind enough to recommend Cafe Cortile for lunch which was a perfecto recommendation. Alina checked us out and send our manifest tout suite. Thanks to all for a special visit! We were delighted to be there and would highly recommend this hotel, which offers commensurate service with that expected of a Ritz Carlton/Marriott caliber property.
