Hotels Near Parrocchia San Fruttuoso in Monza

With the complex spaghetti roads, roundabouts and construction we spent half an hour going around in circles trying to find them. We did find the Holiday Inn first and they gave us directions that almost worked. Let's start with the fine print. The hotel isn't in Monza, but in the dreary town next to it. Much of it seems industrial, warehouses and potentially polluting businesses you wouldn't want to live next to..The hotel sits next to a heavy traffic artery with plenty of truck traffic heading somewhere else. It is not a lot more attractive than much of the Bronx. Outside, the hotel looks forlorn. Inside it isn't quite as ugly with a vague atrium feel with plenty of glass and stone.. There is a large parking area behind the front, which is welcome but usually filled with seminar/convention traffic. Best Westerns are independently owned and not cookie cutter. We have always found personnel associated with the brand to be kind and helpful, and that was the case here. The hotel is very clean and our room was spacious, modern and comfortable although decorated in dormitory/institutional beige and brown. You could wake up and have no idea where you were, except for the parking lot behind. After the stressful drive, we decided to have dinner at the hotel, and it was adequate if not inspiring. Two breakfasts were decidedly more mediocre. I am depressed at how many nominally 4 star hotels use industrial grade orange juice, mediocre brand yogurts and pastries and especially weak and second rate coffee. That is inexcusable in a country that has some of the best brands in the world. Don't they know that Nescafe is awful!!! We took a cab into town to see some sights. Beware, you will probably get ripped off. The taxi meter was at 14.5 Euros when we got in; 25 Euros in the heart of the city. Perhaps it is legal for the cab to turn on the meter when they get the call. but that isn't entirely reasonable. Monza has some extraordinary ancient buildings and historical sites, and lots of ugly modern ones. On the way into town and back, we saw several miles of scruffy apartments and dozens of grassy spaces that hadn't been mowed. Of course, that isn't the hotel's fault, but why stay out there iuless you are conferencing? Candidly, I can't think of any reason to come back.

I booked and paid for standard bed however once I was there I was informed they are full to capacity and only twins beds were available. My trip was for 5 nights and the they would only be able to offer me a standard bed the last night of my stay. I was also told that I'm staying longer than the normal as their minimum patrons stays between 2-3 nights and my stay is longer. The food is also not desirable. I was disappointed by that being in Italy and not having a capable chef. The person working was overwhelm as the was the only one and there were many people to attend to. The location was not ideal as it was right next to an abandon building and walking to get the bus was dark and creepy. Because it was my first time in Milan I was expecting more but next time I'll choose another hotel closer to the town. Επέλεξα να μείνω στο συγκεκριμένο ξενοδοχείο τον Νοέμβριο του '22. Σε γενικές γραμμές ήταν καλό. Το δωμάτιο ήταν μεγάλο, με καθαρά κλινοσκεπάσματα, υπέροχο στρώμα, καλό φωτισμό και με ευρύχωρο μπάνιο. Ωστόσο, η μία λάμπα στο δωμάτιο ήταν καμένη ενώ το mini bar για 4* ξενοδοχείο, άδειο! Το πρωινό ήταν πλούσιο σε επιλογές, σε ένα ήσυχο περιβάλλον με καθαρά σερβίτσια. Το προσωπικό του ξενοδοχείου φιλικό, πρόθυμο να απαντήσει σε κάθε ερώτηση, ωστόσο, όταν ζήτησα πληροφορίες για μεταφορά προς το αεροδρόμιο, η μοναδική επιλογή (τους) ήταν ”ταξί” που κατέληξε σε συνεργαζόμενο γραφείο - ενώ σε ερώτηση ενημέρωσης δρομολογίων των λεωφορείων (μιας κι η πτήση ήταν πρωινή ώρα), η απάντηση τους ήταν ”δεν γνωρίζουμε, πρέπει να ενημερωθείτε απ' την εκάστοτε εταιρεία”, κάτι φυσικά που με απογοήτευσε, διότι περίμενα καλύτερη και πληρέστερη ενημέρωση απ' το Guest Relation. Όσον αφορά τη τοποθεσία, βρίσκεται μόλις 5 λεπτά μακριά (με τα πόδια) απ' το μετρό και μέσα σε λίγα μόλις λεπτά βρίσκεσαι στο κέντρο του Μιλάνο.

This place definitely has its pro’s and con’s and it depends what sacrifices you are willing to make for price. Looking at other reviews I thought I wouldn’t mind it as I’m not too fussy usually but overall I felt uncomfortable and didn’t really want to stay any longer than I had to: Pro’s -Good cheap price -Whilst further out, it’s super convenient for public transport right outside the hotel only 2 euro to get into Milan only takes 30 mins tops -The man on reception was lovely and very helpful -Rooms are big and whilst very dated and nothing to shout home about if you’re used to budget travelling they aren’t filthy or falling apart -Nice big shower room -Fast, free Wi-Fi and slippers and towels Cons -We felt the area at times was slightly scary (although we did first arrive at night) some concerning characters/gangs in surrounding areas and appeared to be in the hotel as well. It’s a pretty rundown area and we didn’t feel very comfortable there -The walls - I’ve never known anything quite like it to be honest it was so so loud I could hear absolutely everything the entire time. Babies crying, doors shutting, people talking/shouting, playing music, stomps up the hallway - constantly and late into the night waking us up. This all added to the sense of un-ease as it didn’t seem like you were on your own and I couldn’t relax in the room and just wanted to leave. -We were also in an outhouse which wouldn’t usually be a problem but felt so exposed as it was that it just added to the feeling Despite all the positives we couldn’t look past these negatives and I really wouldn’t recommend regardless of price.

The suite is large and with a nice hydromassage tub, the breakfast is good and varied, the suite is not very soundproofed (there was a party with music in the restaurant and this could be heard well in the room).

We booked here last minute as there was an issue with the other hostel we booked. We were in a mixed 4-bed dorm. The room was pretty clean and not too cramped and it had a bathroom attached as well. Sleep quality wasn't great as it was quite loud from outside and it got cold with the AC on all night and only a sheet to cover you, but that could just be me. Every bed had a box to put your stuff in that could be locked and unlocked with the fob attached to the room key which was very handy. There was an outdoor space with tables and chairs so you could sit or eat. The staff were nice and friendly as well. The hostel also had Wifi which seemed very reliable for what we needed it for. The location was perfect; a Lidl round the corner, a few minutes walk to the metro station and then a couple of stops on the metro and you're at the central station.

I´m not sure how it is like to stay at Ostelzzz for several nights, but I find it a very convenient solution for me who arrived around midnight in Milan, and already had leave from Milano Centrale by noon on the next day. I had a proper sleep for one night in a capsule. It really was a hostel, but with so much better privacy. Staffs were extremely kind and helpful. They gave me a welcome drink. Online check-in in advance made my actual check-in so much easier. Had everything I needed, incl breakfast, towel too. Clean and well-organized. Breakfast was simple, but more than good enough for me. I wouln´t hesitate to choose Ostelzzz next time.

Mediocre and unprofessional welcome, pathetic and claustrophobic room, totally different from the description at the time of booking, non-existent bathroom external sink uncomfortable bed and non-opening windows, double bed wedged between two walls with 25 centimeters of space only on one side, TV hanging very up and not even leaning towards the bed, which is also uncomfortable, such small rooms at about 100 euros per night is a theft, personally, if not forced by force majeure, I will never sleep there again. Of the whole complex, the restaurant saves little choice but good and well presented, and even the courtesy of the lady of the dining room makes the difference, also included at breakfast, with enough choice of sweet and savory, it allows you to have an excellent breakfast, too bad the Indian guest, who barefoot, it left a not exactly scented trail, but this is not the fault of the structure, however my advice is to avoid the hotel

The proximity to the airport is the main draw for me. The provide a free, on-demand shuttle service as well. The size of the room is also adequate, more space than most European hotels at comparable rates. I stayed one night and had an early morning flight, so I didn't get to see how the breakfast was like. The shower facility was a nice surprise: in addition to a hand held spray, a wall mounted high pressure system had three body spray shower jets at overhead, chest, and pelvic levels, respectively. Highly recommended.

Very close to the toll booth, convenient parking, excellent reception service, spacious clean room, large bathroom, comfortable beds, well-stocked and varied breakfast buffet. I suggest the cleaning staff to lower the volume of their voice in the morning so as not to disturb the rest of the guests
