Classic hotel. The 80’ 5*. Great view from room 222. Nonetheless the room is outdated. The elevator is ages old. Good for short stay. The location is superb with walking distance to Morrisons and Aldi.

I've stayed in some nice hotels but none better than this. Morecambe Bay tugs hard on my heart strings as does this hotel. The Smart Tv wasn't wired up to Internet but other than that there's nowhere else like it in the world. Staff are absolutely lovely and breakfast is a treat. Has to be experienced.

All staff were polite and helpful and the lady on reception went above and beyond to show us round as my daughter had wanted to stay here for many years. Excellent breakfast, lovely spacious room. Would recommend a stay at The Midland.

So sad to see the standards drop 😔 dirty place, may as well have gone to the local pub, food still pleasant but burgers and fish & chips! Disappointed and until it gets a makeover won’t be returning! Shocked to say the least! Bring back fine dinning..

Excellent all ways round. A beautiful sea view room, kept extremely clean by the service team, and everyone made my birthday stay feel very special.

We didn’t think it came up to the standard of the price we paid. It was enjoyable but we won’t book there again. Lobby uninviting. Views from restaurants were excellent . That was the best. Looking at the sea. Breakfast fruit salad was mainly apple and nothing much else. Hot water for tea making big at buffet not hot enough. Breakfast was good but I expect everything to be good. Not enough bread choice at buffet breakfast.

My last visit was after it had been taken over but before the latest changes. I could see even then what was coming, they were short staffed and nobody seemed to be managing anything at breakfast. And now.....well it is considerably worse. In a lot of pubs you have to order at the bar etc and can still pay inflated prices but the Midland had it just right before. It is such a shame that it has changed, my very first visit years ago was a one-off but I was so amazed at the hospitality that I returned again and again. I guess now moving forwards it will be a different clientele, guests who won't miss what they never had. I won't be returning now, the uniqueness has gone. I won't even be returning to Morecambe as the Midland was the only reason I went and I suspect the same was for a lot of people.

This beautiful hotel is being run into the ground ! I hate writing this review because everyone knows how much I love this place and I will keep on returning if only for the view !!! The lovely table service has now gone , you order at the bar ! Does this beautiful landmark not deserve more ? The food menu is mediocre at best , I opted for the Thai curry ? Just serve up good old english fair tbh , the curry was awful !!! the Prosecco is the cheapest, most driest stuff I’ve ever tasted and served in short stem glasses ! Staff are very young with obviously not that much interest in the hospitality trade ! Please bring back the big round tables with lovely linen and and beautiful table ware ,great staff with knowledge of a good menu that also actually feel like they want to serve you … this is what this beautiful hotel and restaurant with the most perfect view deserves!!!
