"The room had been recently renovated, but it's located in an older building that underwent conversion. The water pressure in the bathroom wasn't great, and some other aspects of the renovation felt poorly designed or inconvenient. The amenities were generally incomplete, making the overall experience a bit inconvenient. The only redeeming quality was the ocean view."

"Classic hotel. The 80’ 5*. Great view from room 222. Nonetheless the room is outdated. The elevator is ages old. Good for short stay. The location is superb with walking distance to Morrisons and Aldi. Great breakfast and environment."

"Hotel is in dilapidated state, almost falling apart. Owner said that’s why the room rate is so cheap, which is hardly true. Entrance to the hotel was hard to find and the reception is not manned at all times. One star rating is already overrated."

"Situated right on the front. Very friendly welcome and delightful, helpful staff. Room was clean with a lovely bay window and a decent side view of the sea. Surprisingly quiet. Decent bathroom with new fittings. Good Wi-Fi. Has a traditional sea-side ambience. Booking advisable for supper as the restaurant is very popular. Breakfast was very good value. The hotel properly warns there is no lift. Ample parking nearby."
