Breakfast is fabulous fresh and eggs and croissants made perfect on the spot. Only thing is need more fruit no fruit.
No gym ? Too cold to swim.
Cosy room too small.

A good four star hotel. Our bedroom was a good size and comfortable for our one night stay. Hotel is centrally located and we managed to reserve a parking space on the forecourt, although the£20 charge is a bit excessive. The reception staff were friendly We ate dinner in the bistro which was good, also with friendly service, although the waitress was young and inexperienced and had to keep referring to someone else for answers about them menu. If I have to return to Exeter, I will probably stay at this hotel again.

Thank you Hotel du vin! from the moment we got here everyone was friendly and helpful. Hotel has an amazing feeling and the room was clean and spacious. The stand out feature is the team they are all so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.

We arrived to friendly reception staff and a really lovely, chatty and welcoming barman Dylan. He made our drinks quickly and with care and precision. He spent time chatting to us which our experience all the more enjoyable. Interactive Staff really make an establishment and he is an asset to HDV Exeter.

I stay here regularly & the service is always great. Toby & the team on reception are always welcoming & happy to help. I don’t often eat in the restaurant but tonight I did. Not only was the food fabulous but the service was great too! All the staff were attentive but Rhiannon was lovely! I was eating on my own & she went out of her way to make me feel comfortable & engage with me which was much appreciated. The staff at this hotel are a real asset!

We booked a deluxe room for 2 nights and it was a little pricier than in the past but we knew what to expect. Parking is getting a bit steep and a lot more than the sister Malmaison we stayed at the previous night. We actually didn’t eat or drink here but probably would have done if they had offered us a deal which is what used to happen with this group. Anyhow check in room everything was spot on. We will return and we love the small pool and to be honest we probably wouldn’t stay there if they closed it - which I hope they don’t - gives you a holiday buzz. Great location and a short walk to town or the quay side.
