Thumbs up for the excellent service and very delicious food! The chef makes a mean steamed pork belly, amongst many other yummy dishes. Tempura is awesome too. Public baths arent that impressive, with outdoor onsen being v small and lukewarm at best.
I felt it was a great pity that the beautiful view of the river from the windows of the dining room is being blocked by a bunch of clutter right next to the wall to wall glass window. It would've been so lovely to eat and look out at the river and mountains beyond, rather than see high chairs and screens and the tempura stand. In-room onsen was terrific....very large indoor bath and a smaller tub outdoors on the balcony. The onsen water can get very hot but u can take the temperature down with the cool water hose. The room is rather small but cosy. I'm not impressed by the bedding though. Futns are waty too thin, however the staff are very glad to add an extra futon atop when i requested for it.
The location of the hotel is great, for me at least. There are a few fanily parks and nature trails nearby.
The hotel has very beautifully crafted pieces of furniture at their coffee and drink bar for guests. Chairs by Fuji furniture so comfortable i wanna take them home! The lobby has some top notch cosy chairs and a buttery soft recliner, every piece a show of great Japanese craftmanshi!
In all, this is just a very wonderful hotel annd I highly recommend it.

The room is large, breakfast and dinner are buffet style, and the variety and taste of the dishes are quite satisfactory. spa. Overall, good value for money.
It’s just that the decoration facilities are a bit old.

Tsunagi Onsen is located on the shores of Lake Gosho, overlooking Mt. Iwate. It is also known as the inner sanctum of Morioka. Taikan is right on the lakeside, and there are many facilities to enjoy in the surrounding area. The room was very spacious and I was able to sleep comfortably! Dinner and breakfast are served in a buffet style. For dinner, tempura and pork were prepared in a live kitchen style. The buffet had a wide variety of food, from salads to snacks, and meats such as chicken, pork, and beef. There was also a wide variety of desserts and drinks. I was very satisfied with the large portions♪ Thank you for the meal.

I was a little worried about the price compared to nearby hotels, but the distance from the room to the dining area was a little far, and I didn't feel it was inconvenient at all. Anyway, it was the third day of the trip, and I chose this hotel because I wanted to take a relaxing bath, and it exceeded my expectations. I was lucky that I was able to take a bath before the group of tourists had already started. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were buffet style and very satisfying. They even had a small version of Sanriku's "bindon" (bing bowl of rice), which I hadn't been able to visit on this trip, and I ended up eating three of them. It was delicious.

I didn't expect such terrible food and room at this price range. Even though the heating in the room wasn't working and it was a particularly cold day, I couldn't resist pulling out the futon from the closet, just one blanket. As for the food, the venue was dimly lit and lifeless, and even though it was a buffet, the number of items and taste were small, making it comparable to a family restaurant, and the only saving grace was the bathhouse. . . I stayed there for the first time in about 50 years, but I couldn't close my mouth as I saw it's decline. It's a shame because the founder was an acquaintance of my grandmother, but I won't be visiting again.
