Fergus Cactus Garden

Had a lovely time ,hotel lovely ,rooms very spacious and excellent location staff very friendly the only let down was the food , didn't look at all appetizing,very poor selection of desserts,no entertainment during the day and a couple of singers at night .

Myself and my wife have just returned after a week at the Fergus Catus Garden. THE GOOD POINTS: The beach is beautiful with lovely golden sand, with crystal clear blue water and ideal for swimming. The local shops are hassle free and you are not bothered whilst browsing. Mainly designer shops. The hotel was quite and relaxing. Plenty of sun loungers, by the pool, or on the roof top with two areas with jacuzzi’s. THE NOT SO GOOD POINTS: One small tiny pool by the reception. Very limited entertainment in the day or the evening. Pool bar only stays open until 11pm every night. Food very bland. Stewed vegetable, pumpkin and waiting for the chef to cook the fresh meats and fish. Mainly chips and pizza. If you like salad and a fruit then you have chose the right place. Breakfast was probably the best meal. If you are a young couple there is NO night life in the area, and is very quite. The hotel staff were genuinely friendly however except for one person who was arrogant and rude whilst I was trying to fill my water bottle up in the dining area. Also be aware check out time is 12:00. The reception will cut off your all inclusive wrist band and say your all inclusive is now finished. We had to wait 5 hours for our transfer to arrive to pick us up. No food or drink available!! However another couple complained and were given a meal voucher. SO BEST COMPLAIN!!

We stayed only one night because we took the ferry from Gran Canaria to visit friends from Germany who were staying at Aldriana. It was a successful visit and we completely enjoyed our first stay at Cactus Garden. We would be happy to stay again.

we were given room 223 and told we had a upgrade. What a joke it had the extractor fan from the kitchen on our roof which made a constant humming noise 6.30am until 11 pm and the squeeling noise every now and then in the night .on our 2nd night the cleaner put the fan on in the kitchen at 4am which woke us . I called reception and complained and the next morning we were told they would give us another room which would cost an extra 75 euro a night. We said that won't be happening,but they said they would not charge us . So we were moved to floor 7 room 710 which had a nasty smell coming from the drain .but we could not be bothered to grumble again . There was no entertainment during the day and poor at night. The food was very poor .salad chips or pizza . I'm a diabetic so it was hard to find anything accept salad . This was not even a 3 star hotel.the cleaning was not to my standards. I'm sorry to say I will not return

Booked this as a late deal at a good price so wasn't expecting much, therefore not too disappointing. The hotel is nice enough and close to everything, reasonably clean and the staff all except 1 or 2 lads behind the bar who are abrupt and unhelpful are fine generally. Weird how some drinks are ( no more) with some staff but 15 minutes later with someone else, magically available again 🤔 Nice big room with all you need, good balcony with sea view ( paid extra £40 and suggest book this or get inner court room with zero view) The food.. Probably the worst ever experienced anywhere, limited choice, cold and undercooked, full of salt. An Italian themed night with the same bland pizza that's available every day at every meal, no lasagne or canaloni or spaghetti, pathetic attempt. No daytime entertainment and can always get a sunbed, probably because everyone goes out to get decent food. Could be great place but food choice is a big negative.

Arrived to very nice cheery staff. We arrived late and they had left us a salad etc to eat in the dining room. Class act and very thoughtful .Rooms excellent, beds very comfy, maids were superb. So much so I usually have 2 pillows and only having one I used the blanket left for winter underneath as I didn't want to make a fuss. The maid was on the ball noticing and was immediately left extra pillows. Now that's attention to detail. I'm a very English fussy eater and found plenty to eat. Waiters and waitresses were excellent and always looked after you. Nothing was too much trouble. I was little concerned by past reviews people had left about this hotel. All I can say is everything has a value and if you want to be treated like royalty pay the price. The fungus cactus gardens are not royal price and are exceptional value. Even the safes are free. Ignore the reviews as this is one nice hotel with very warming staff. And yes I will definitely return. See you in the winter.

The good points - amazing location, right by the most beautiful beach and the main shopping *****, which has plenty of restaurants and shops. About a 30 min walk to the old town too. Rooms were spacious and clean Food was nice Majority of staff were really friendly and welcoming Roof top terrace with jacuzzi was lovely Has a small spa which you can hire for a hour each day for free with exclusive use The not so good points- Drinks included in the all inclusive did not taste good and all other branded drinks cost 7 euros, the roof top bar which was a selling point had no drinks included in the all inclusive and is only open 2 nights a week for a few hours Not enough parasols poolside and none available on the roof terrace ( only 7 in total Charge for pool towels( deposit of 10 euros per towel which u get back at the end of holiday but a charge of 2.50 euro which u dont get back everytime u want to change it) Beds made up as two singles and then pushed together
