"My spouse and I stayed at the Calpyso for 1 week in early September. We both really enjoyed our stay. We arrived on my spouses birthday. They kindly left us a gift of a bottle white sparkling wine, which made us feel very welcome. There is not a great deal to do in Morro Jabel, after 2 days we spent the rest of the time lounging and sipping Mojitos on the 4 poster rattan beds and in the jaccusi on the rooftop terrace. The hotel guests are mostly German, and Morro Jabel appeals to them, as their former Chancellor, Willy Brandt popularised it as a holiday destination. Note, there are many German nudists on the beach. Due to the shape of the hotel, there are two funiculars to access most rooms, which is a pleasant novelty. The room sizes are excellent, the belconies are spacious too, with great views of the beach and sea. The food is wonderful. We had caviar, smoked salmon, steaks cooked to perfection and many other great items. To those saying negatives about the food: If you want to eat congealed baked beans, hash browns and brown sauce, why not stay in the UK? My only negatives for the hotel are the cleaning and the furnishings. I spotted some cobwebs and leaves scattered within corridors to the bedrooms. The furnishings are slightly dated and worn. Perhaps it is time to replace furniture, carpets and decor. These negatives are only slight and did not impact on the holiday very much. The hotel is a great place for a relaxing week away, but due to the lack of activities in Morro Jabel, not much more. We really enjoyed the week."

"Our stay at Riu Palace Jandia was excellent from start to finish. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with stunning ocean views and direct access to a wonderful sandy beach. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, providing everything needed for a relaxing holiday. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it an ideal place to unwind. While the hotel has just one swimming pool and a relatively small gym, both facilities were well maintained. There were always plenty of sunbeds available around the pool, regardless of the time of day, which made relaxing especially easy. Guests should note that sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach are available for an additional charge, as they are not operated by the hotel. The food was very good, with a wide variety of fresh and tasty options available every day. The restaurants and bars were excellent and contributed greatly to the overall holiday experience. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay – friendly, professional, and always happy to help. The service was consistently of a high standard, and we particularly appreciated the attention to detail and the genuine hospitality shown by all members of the team. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel. We would happily return in the future and would highly recommend Riu Palace Jandia to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in a beautiful location"

"Stayed for 14 days in this lovely resort. Could not rate these apartments highly enough. Located in an ideal position 3 minutes walk from the sea front, shops, bars and restaurants. Quiet, immaculately clean, spacious, and well maintained. No problem with arriving late. We just followed the instructions on the door. Simple. Lift worked every time. Ceiling fans in the lounge and bedroom. Portable fan included. We're British and love our tea. No ado about a kettle just boiled water in the pan, but on reading previous reviews, we could have asked fir a kettle. Just didn't make a fuss. Linen and towels changed every 4 days, and a good spa supermarket 2 minutes away out of the front door and across the road to the right. Great value for money. Enjoy, we did."

"Be warned if you have booked through Love Holidays. Booked what we thought was a 2 bedroom duplex apartment with Love Holidays. When we arrived it was a 1 bedroom apartment with a pull down bed in the lounge, this was far from ideal with our adult daughter. Tried to speak to Reception but couldn’t make them understand. It seems a 2 bedroom apartment is one bedroom and 3 bedroom is 2 bedrooms. They definitely need to liaise with their supplier to advertise the apartments properly. There is not a lot of privacy on the terraces as the staff are in and out of the gardens all the time. One afternoon while eating lunch they randomly started butchering the palms trees. We were told that we had to go inside with no warning, the terrace was left in a real mess. The apartments themselves are clean and modern but we wouldn’t return."

"Excellent Apartments. Great Staff.. Fabulous location and amazing views. Fantastic balcony to sunbathe. Eating elfresco. Experiencing sunsets.. Amazing boats and seeing nature uninterrupted. Really enjoyed the experience.. Only problem to make is the logistics in terms of steps and high slopes to property for people who have mobility issues.. Other than that great ond amazing holiday.. "
