Just got back from a week staying at the Cactus Garden and all in all we were happy with our stay. Arrived late but check in was quick and easy. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Air con was good, as was the shower. Must give a mention to ALL THE STAFF here, every single one we had an interaction with were super polite and professional, from the lady who cleaned our room, the reception staff, restaurant and bar staff, Rami the entertainment guy, nice genuine people. Seen a couple of reviews slating the food but can you imagine trying to please everyone at breakfast, lunch and dinner? It’s not possible! We didn’t use the restaurant every day but when we did we always found something we enjoyed. If it’s not what you’re into there’s lots of restaurants within a five/ten minute walk, have a wander and go contribute to the local economy! Pool area was a bit small and did occasionally see people not able to get a sunbed, we just alternated between a day by the pool and then a day by the absolutely beautiful beach at Morro Jable, definitely worth exploring the restaurants and bars in that area. There was some construction work going on just outside the hotel but that wasn’t really the hotels fault and was beyond their control. Good hotel, great location and excellent, hard working staff. Would definitely recommend

We've just go back from our week stay here and loved it 😊 Check in was very easy and quick and the room is very spacious and we had a balcony so nice views, beds are comfy personally would have preferred 2 pillows but still slept well every night. Room has mini fridge so can keep water in there (they provide 1 bottle when you arrive) and Aircon and a decent size bathroom with nice shower and bottles of shampoo, conditioner, soap and body lotion all with aloe Vera in so soothing if you have burnt which I thought was a good extra touch. All staff in this hotel are amazing, not been to hotel before where they remember you and they want you to have the best holiday. Few members suggested places on the island for us to visit which we did and they were stunning. They weren't just there serving drinks like in most hotels they were willing to chat to you and make sure you're enjoying your holiday. Entertainment (Rami) was very good always getting everyone involved and I particularly liked how the entertainment was all through out the day not just the evening and when it was too windy for one of the activities he got a different game out instead which was nice better than just sitting by the pool. Evening entertainment was good variety and always enjoyable could do with more chairs as sometimes struggled to find a seat. Pool was lovely and decent size however sometimes struggled to find sunbeds or had one behind the shower wall so not a great view 😂 Food was your average all inclusive nothing special. We both lived off salads for the week. They do have pizza but if you're not there when dinning opens then you might not get any as I don't think they replenished the pizza. On the first night everything was cold so kind of put us off eating it. There are loads of restaurants around that do good cheap food which we didn't mind visiting occasionally. Overall I very good experience and would definitely consider coming back ☺️ Tip for people who haven't been Fuerteventura before the evenings are quiet windy so bring layers which we weren't prepared for 😂

Booked 2 weeks in this lovely clean hotel . From checking in late and being welcomed by the fabulously friendly Italian receptionist - we were upgraded to a suite . The hotel also saved us a cold salad and cold cuts as the restaurant had closed which again I thought a lovely touch . We got in our super clean room - kettle fridge and mini fridge included . Along with shampoo conditioner liquid soap and body Milk . The beds are so comfy . All the staff amazing well done all - a special Mention to Daniel and all the restaurant and bar staff. Rami is the entertainment guy and is wonderful 🥰 Food - breakfast amazing - lunch —ok- dinner ok Great varied salads and would never go hungry . Desserts are the same - maybe make a couple of apple pies instead of the same deserts all the time . English channels didn’t work on the tv but that was the only thing .

Here now and just to echo what someone else has said. Just been for evening meal and we got up for water from the Machine as no Tea or coffee available. On leaving a waiter told us we have to pay for water?? What the heck!! Water is a necessity in life. On half board having to pay for a glass of water is ridiculous. Have travelled the world and have never had to pay for water at mealtimes...fact.

Currently staying here. I don’t normally write a review until I’ve returned home but in this instance I’ll make an exception. We arrived on Wednesday 8th May at 22.45 hrs, delayed by an hour on route. We are staying half board. We were dropped off with around 8 other guests, we were made to wait to check in as the operative behind the reception desk stated “I have to check in our all inclusive guests as they are a priority” I would have thought all guests would be the priority of the hotel? Once we had been checked in we were told we have a “free upgrade” which normally costs €70 euro per night. We are in room 611, a 6th floor suite with an additional sofa bed in it. We would much prefer some drawers for storage but the room seems to be missing this. Not enough storage for 2 peoples clothes so some have to remain in the case. Room was adequately clean, comes equipped with a kettle and a fridge. Nice size shower and well thought out space. Pleasant room but as I say needs more storage options. There is a nice sun deck outside the 6th floor with a jacuzzi which we preferred to use, mainly because there are simply not enough sun loungers around the pool to cater for everybody. The shower adjacent to the jacuzzi does not work which means people enter the jacuzzi dirty or covered in sun lotion which is apparent by the amount of oil floating on the top of the water when the jacuzzi shuts down between cycles. Some of the worst points about this place so far. Food: it’s not exactly an enjoyable dining experience. First proper sit down meal last night we have chicken breast slices cooked on the hot plate whilst we watched, however when we had it served to us and we sliced it up I think it would be classed as “medium rare” we returned it and had paella instead. Not a massive amount of choice, meatballs, chicken legs etc. Breakfast menu is as expected with this truck stop style of diner. Dishes full over cooked bacon, half cooked eggs, the usual continental type of stuff. However if you like rotted fruit there’s plenty of that on offer. Construction work: There is some very noisy construction work so going outside the hotel, and I mean right outside. So loud you can’t hear one another speak across the dining table. There are also gangs of paints climbing from balcony to balcony just chucking peoples belongings around so there can paint the balcony above. We had to request at least 4 times that they stay out of our balcony after I discovered masses of scraped off paint all over our balcony this morning. It seems the hotel simply has no respect for its guests. This is simply something you do to your guests after they have paid to stay at your venue. It wouldn’t have been so bad if they had asked or informed us this was going to be happening. I am not at all comfortable with this. I will probably update this as time moves on or after we have left but so far it’s far from the idea of the relaxing break we had hoped for. Fergus Cactus G
