There are 12 people in a room, and it is very noisy and impossible to rest, because many people have different schedules. There will be doors opening at different times, and there will be people playing videos, talking on the phone... The heating was too hot and the room was too stuffy. I felt like only the pillow cases had been changed because it made me itchy when I slept and there was no socket next to the bed! You can only charge at stations and places with sockets! And there are no bath towels or shower gel provided. It is probably the worst youth hostel in Queenstown.

First of all, the location is really great. Where do you want to go in Queenstown? Almost everything can be reached on foot. The property is only a 1-2 minute walk from the lake. The brunch shops in front of the accommodation are also famous and delicious. Accessibility is truly superb. Also, this hotel has an app called GOKI installed in advance and requires email verification. If you check in, you can check in quickly. Or while checking in You must install the app and authenticate. You can open and close the door with this app without a key. On the G floor of the hotel, the music is turned up loudly, so it might be heard all the way to the room. But when I stay in the dorm, I can't hear any music from the G floor. However, it is not soundproofed, so you can hear coughing from the next room or conversations in the hallway. It sounded great. We booked a room without a window, and when we looked under the door, there was a gap. Even though there was no lounge space on our floor, it was loud because people were talking loudly in the hallway even after 12 or 1 o'clock. I think this will feel different depending on the people staying at the same time. The inside of the room was generally clean. I thought there was no shampoo and body wash, but towels are provided every day. Disposable shampoo, conditioner and trea**ent were provided. One pack of milk was provided on the first day, even though two people stayed. It was only provided for the first day. It was delicious, so I went to the supermarket and ate it later. I was worried about ventilation because the room had no windows. The small hole in the ceiling was blowing air frequently, whether from a fan or an air conditioner, so there was no smell and the temperature in the room was adjusted appropriately. The air conditioner didn't work at all, perhaps because it wasn't connected. There was a TV, refrigerator, hair dryer, hanger, ironing board, and iron in the room. The bedding was also clean. However, on the second day out of the many days I stayed, the room was cleaned after 3 o'clock. It didn't work out, so I came in to take a break and left again. When I returned, blankets, towels, and amenities were provided in the room. The dust on the bathroom floor was not cleaned up. The next day, the room and bathroom floor were cleaned again. Overall, I was satisfied with this place.

Very dirty and old facilities, staff not helpful and told me he couldn't find my booking which scared me a lot. I don't know where I can stay if he can not find my booking.

I think it was nice to be able to open and close the door using the app, and be able to come home even late at night. It was also very convenient to be close to the center, and it was close to the lake so it was easy to go for a walk. The staff were friendly and tried to understand my poor English, which made me happy. The common areas seemed untidy. It seems that the staff cleans up the kitchen every day, but the kitchen space is not very organized. (I don't think there's anything we can do about it, since this is a problem on the user's side...) There was no free space in the refrigerator, and I felt like the facilities weren't keeping up with the number of people staying there. I also felt that the inside of the room was not very clean. There was what I thought was a security box, but the lock was broken so I couldn't use it, and although the bed sheets were clean, the comforter wasn't that clean. Also, the Chris**as party was held until late, so if you don't like that kind of hustle and bustle, I think you should avoid making reservations during Chris**as.

A great experience for a female solo traveler. I Pros I shared a female dorm with three other women and had a great time getting to know those coming in and out. The shared bathroom was always clean (cleaned every day). The communal kitchen is large and well-organised. You can make use of condiments that get left behind. As it was still cold, there are always fires burning both in reception and the common room. It makes the atmosphere very cosy. The best service I got was from their information desk, which is located in the reception area. As I didn't have a credit card and businesses like Snowbiz in town don't accept cash, I was able to pay for ski passes and rental by making a booking at the service desk (they have a card machine and also accept cash). Cons This side of the hostel where my room was located, just experiences a lot of noise, as there are bars down below, despite the sliding door being sound-proof. Not all the reading lamps for each bed work and also need to be fixed. The shower leaked a lot of water, as the glass door doesn't properly close. Overall though, a great stay and value for money. You do save on accommodation, as QT is an expensive town to visit.

The staff was very friendly and the price was reasonable but the room I got was right across the bar and people partied til 3 am when it’s Friday or weekends… impossible to fall asleep. I think I won’t stay here for sure next time ;(
