Shem Creek Inn

Loved the views from this hotel! We had breakfast on the pool deck overlooking the creek and our room faced the marsh! The beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet. Bonus, it’s only ten minutes from downtown Charleston, but feels a world away!

This place is wonderful! The location is beautiful, lively & lots to do. The location really makes this place special. Shem creek itself is beautiful with the views, walking paths along the water and the wild life. We saw lots of dolphins, birds & crabs. There are several restaurants & bars near by. Lots of energy (sometimes busy on weekends) music and celebrations happening each night. The restaurants do cater to mostly tourists (higher prices) but lots offer HH specials. Food was all good nothing outstanding but all good. Now for the hotel- it has a cute nautical vibe. Rooms are clean and spacious. The pool and deck is great! Pool is not heated. We stayed on the marsh side and didn’t have issues either noise. Bed was very comfortable. There were some quirks to our room but nothing to bad. Bathroom had a few loose floor tiles & the blinds didn’t block the light well went wanting to sleep in. Also it didn’t bother us but they don’t offer daily housekeeping. For longer stays you can request. They did offer towels or any other things you needed refreshed in the lobby. Breakfast was grab & go. Parking was a bonus because that area has limited parking. We parked and walked to most places during our stay. Weekends the parking lot for the hotel did get busy. Will definitely go back!

Family trip with family flying in from Indiana for a nice enjoyable weekend. I would do it again as long as all the door codes are addressed or some other fix is in place.

Excellent service, warm atmosphere and great water experience! Wonderful staff and clean room. The closeness to Shem Creek was outstanding!the restaurants were close and provided excellent food choices. The availability of water activities created a very family oriented environment for our family.

The lady working reception was extremely rude.

The hotel was great and the staff as well. Unfortunately we had load 20 something’s that thought it was okay to yell and be loud in the hallway after midnight. That is the only complaint.

We enjoyed our stay. Staff was great and the boardwalk was great to walk and plenty of restaurant/bars. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice area, a number of great restaurants nearby. Great view and it would definitely be were i would stay again. All the staff were very polite and helpful!!

Parking is not great- and hotel had tv outage which they can’t control but they could offer a discount-
