Poor front desk staff, ongoing maintenance work at the hotel made our stay a terrible experience. Front desk staff are trained to blame the guests. My key card did not work the first time and i checked with them whether the card was activated. The blame was squarely put on me as i was using my mobile phone closer to the key card. There was maintenance work ongoing at this hotel and 9 am to 6 pm there was drilling and hammering noise heard on both days. The check out was the icing on the cake. I called up the reception at 6 am to inform that i will be checking out in 10 minutes. A person was sent within a couple of minutes of my call to take stock of the minibar. He insisted that we move out of the room immediately for him to check the minibar. Not wanting to spoil the rest of our day, we obliged. When i mentioned this to front desk staff, he paid no attention as if this is what we should expect. Having paid 16. 5k a night, this was by far the "cheapest" hotel i had been to.
