Furnished Apar**ents like home. I enjoyed stay there during my 4 days vacation.

To check in at this hotel, I was forced to download an app. I asked specifically if I can still check in without using the app and the hotel replied "you can use the app to check in". I am not even joking, this is their reply to my question. So unwillingly, I downloaded the app and registered, because it's not enough to make money from hotel business, they also have to have a cut on selling customer information to 3rd parties (yes Google Play Store literally says on this app's page). And on the date of arrival this joke of an app didn't even work. The booking and check-in was successful, but no key card could be generated, which means I couldn't get into the room. Eventually we had to call the helpline, and after a long time waiting, some security guard showed and let us into the room with a key fob. Even at this point we still couldn't get a key card. I am sorry but you don't deserve to receive anything more than 1 star (because there's no option to give 0 star).

I chose to stay at The Spot because of its location and because the room was a bit bigger than what most other hotels offer. I come to Munich every month for a course and had high hopes that this would be a place I could return to. The room was on the first floot and at first I was a bit worried that it might be noisy because it overlooks a busy road but I have to say that the room was really quiet. However, it was unfortunetely very dirty: the toilet seat was disgusting (yello rim all around the seat) and has never seen a deep clean, the shower had product sprayed inside it but nobody bothered to run a cloth to clean it. The floor was especially dirty and the rug by the bed had dead insects and black gravel inside its shaggy pile. Overall, it is a cheaply furnished room with worn out furniture with no saving grace.

We enjoyed a lot our stay here in the Spot. On the one hand, its location is very good if you look for a quiet place to stay. It's walking distance from the gorgeous Munich parks and well connected by public transport to the city centre. It has a supermarket and a bakery in the same building which is very convenient and the place is nice, clean and with a well equipped small kitchen.

I have stayed here previously in the largest suite and it was very nice, a great value. This trip it was not available so stayed in the Junior Suite instead and it is also very good. There is a lot of closet and storage space and in addition there is a long table/desk top. I will definitely stay in either of these rooms again. It is a good location if you are driving ,but if not there is a grocery store next door and restaurants in walking distance.

I almost did not stay here because of the rating, but I am glad I did! I compared other hotel/apar**ents and stayed at a few before switching to The Spot. It is a better value than many others for a spacious room with a large balcony. The previous place that I stayed cost more and had very outdated, small rooms with tiny bathrooms. The condition of the room is good, it seems to be fairly new and it is well-kept, not outdated. The location is not bad, it is not too far from the city center or from large malls, although not in walking distance. The grocery store next door is very convenient and pharmacies are in walking distance. The management and people in the reception area are very nice and accommodating. I will stay here again.
