So you've spent ages checking out hotels in Munich and you just can't decide. Well stress no longer, this hotel is a perfect choice, midway between Karlsplatz and Hauptbahnhof (Hbf) you can't go wrong. The staff are super friendly and while the room is on the small side, it was quiet and spotlessly clean. Bonus here is a free bottle of beer if you opt not to have your room made up, you can of course ask for clean towels etc. What's not to like? Karlsplatz- is a stop on the rail line from the airport- and is just 5 minutes away with Central Station (Hbf) 5 minutes walk further on. The Old Town is again a short walk beyond Karlsplatz so you won't need public transport at all. While Munich's public transport is first class and clean buying a ticket is very complicated and even locals don't seem to understand the zones and appropriate tickets. You may also be surprised how expensive it is to get to and from the airport, even by bus. The hotel is on Bayerstrasse and like a lot of streets worldwide near stations, it has a certain down at heel appearance. Don't let that deter you as the area is vibrant and safe and the locals friendly. Nearly all speak English but a few phrases in German are appreciated. What's that song by M People?............ DONT LOOK ANY FURTHER!!
