Munich Neuhausen-Nymphenburg 3-star Hotels

Solid offering, attractive new build. Short walk to S-Bahn and windows ensure no exterior sounds. Rooms reasonable sized, Internet & lighting fine, AC worked well (rare in Germany), bath well illuminated and plenty of hot water. Interesting work desk actually worked well. USB outlets bedside. Front desk staff on it and professional. Two maintenance issues during my long stay handled quickly. Overall this is a definite return visit. Breakfast area gets overwhelmed when hotel is full but offerings were decent (it's a Express hotel so don't expect a big business buffet). Staff worked hard to keep areas clean. Downsides - cleaning staff wasn't consistent. Room was bit dusty to start (I cleaned it) but this was more a minor nit. Tips for hotel owner: Need to move the smoking area AWAY from front door. Constant smoking right by front door was bit off putting. Hints if you go: A little new shopping area is a 2 min walk, the ReWe is amazing and has food to go (excellnt veg offerings). Hirschgarten beer is a beautiful 10 min stroll. Behind the Flixbus building is a late late night club but has a small interesting Nachtgarden beer spot that is quiet in the early hours. ArteBianca is authentic Italian pizza (very good). Athos Pallas Greek is short walk and excellent as well. If you need to wash the Eco-Express Agnes-Bernauer-Straße is perhaps 15 min by foot (cash only) well maintained machines.

The door of the hotel is very hidden, almost missed; but the decoration is very charming, belongs to the abstract style, my daughter likes it very much. Although there are not many varieties of breakfast, it is nutritious and the service is very good. Coffee and tea are provided. The breakfast officially started at 6:30, but it has already started 10 minutes earlier, which is great. When leaving the store, the front desk reminded the subway to strike and gave the map and instructed how to make the train to catch the next stop. Thank you very much! In short, the hotel is not big, but the service is good, and iced mineral water is provided for free!

It was very close to Nymphenburg Palace, so I chose this one. It was built in 1986 (the weather vane of the roof can see the year). It was converted from a residential building, so there is no air conditioning (no German air-conditioned residential buildings). The room is small, with a fan, a small fridge and no electric kettle. If you have large luggage or a large guest, you may feel that the room is too small and it is not convenient to turn around. The room is decorated in a retro style, the wardrobe is made of logs and the bed is a copper bed. The bathroom is also small. Although I live on the first floor, I am curious that the water pressure in the shower is still not stable. When the shower is open, the water flow is hot and cold, and the adjustment to the middle is more stable but not too hot (it seems to need fine adjustment). The hotel itself is in a residential area, so it takes a few streets to walk through the S1 (Laim station) or the tram 16/17 and the bus 51. There are edeka supermarkets around 7 or 8 minutes from the hotel. It is only a 5-minute walk from Nymphenburg Palace, and it is a good choice to spend the weekend there. The nearby Michelin restaurant schwaige nymphenburg is also great, and it is often full at dinner. Due to the residential area, the surrounding environment is very quiet, but the sound insulation of the room is not very good. The anteroom and restaurant are very nice and breakfast may be available at an extra charge. The service attitude of the hotel staff is very good, whether it is the front desk, the boss or the cleaning aunt is very friendly. Special thanks to the proprietress, who is in urgent need of rushing to the airport but can't find a taxi (German tram bus strike), and the peers are still ankles, they are willing to drive us to S1 station, and take the initiative to help us to smash our big bags. It’s a short 15-20 minute walk from Laim S-Bahn station (easy to get here straight from the airport). The nearby beer garden at Hirsch Garten is open till midnight (spring/summer at least) for food and drinks and there are some shops (pharmacy, bakery etc) nearby at Roman Platz is useful. We stayed overnight and took the kids to see the amazing Nyphenburg Schloss- again, really close. And the hotel kindly kept our luggage for us so that we could collect it later and travel by train to our next destination. The room was great (with separate room attached for our two kids), and breakfast fantastic. Really enjoyed our stopover here. Very friendly staff.

Good location. Good price/quality ratio. Large two-level room, but in need of renovation. Small kitchen and eating area. Dark and with poor lighting, excepting the bathroom. Supermarket next to it. If you just need a place to sleep, then it is very much recommended.

The plus side of the hotel is the location right on the Donnersbergerbrücke S-Bahn, the proximity to Edeka around the corner and the size of the room at almost 40m2: there is a seating area with 2 armchairs, 2 chairs for the kitchen area and a large bathroom. The Neubauviertel has the charm of a stone desert, but that charm can be found elsewhere.

When we turned up at the hotel at no fault of the hotel the holiday company we used did not change the dates of our hotel (from 26-29th to 27-30th) in line with our flights. This was quickly sorted by signing a form to confirm that this was the case. Then on our last night I was in the room by myself when a man that had just checked in had let himself into the room, he soon realised and walked straight back out. Shortly after I had a receptionist named Mustafa I have been told barge into the room demanding that I pack and leave right away as I should not be there. He threatened to ring the police if I did not leave right away. He did not want to listen to a word I said when I tried to explain to him the situation that I thought could have been the mix up, I rang my boyfriend to come straight up to the room. The tone and manner of this staff member was completely unacceptable. As soon as my boyfriend arrived his manner changed completely and became very polite. My partner went down to reception to try and sort things out to which he got shown the form we filled in on arrival with it forged, the date had been crossed out and edited which I’m assuming is to try and cover up the fact they were in the wrong. Never experienced anything like this anywhere I have travelled before. Definitely did not feel safe by myself as a woman. So disappointed after such a lovely holiday this completely changed the tone and ruined it 😢

Facilities: Complete, close to the subway Hygiene: Very good, the bathroom is slightly small and the heating is sufficient. good environment Service: good The breakfast buffet is very special and tastes great! I was happy eating it every day for a week! There is also an airport bus station nearby, which is very convenient. Remember to pay for the airport bus and ask for the ticket immediately!
