We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Refre Hotel. This boutique hotel has everything you might possibly need for an incredibly Japanese experience. The room we stayed in was spotless, very spacious and very comfortable. The breakfasts were truly amazing, just what you need to start your day. Jenn and Peter went above and beyond anything we could ever have imagined to make our stay memorable. The private onsen was really a special experience. If you ever get a chance to be in Myoko / Akakura, this is the perfect place to stay, you won’t be disappointed!

Genuine heartwarming hospitality. Jenn & Peter are superb friendly hosts who made our summer weekend stay a delight. Great rooms with comfy beds, inviting lounge space with bar and fabulous indoor/outdoor onsen facility. Delicious breakfast with locally sourced ingredients & homemade treats including chia fruit ‘pudding’ and sourdough bread. Convenient location, perfect for groups of friends or family. Visit the on-site Nomadic Physio for a massage too!
