The carpet was too worn. The next day, the weather cleared up, and everything was beautiful again. I bought a cable car ticket at the front desk and the hotel delivered it to the cable car station. The top of the mountain was beautiful, and the air was fresh. On the way back, I asked the cable car staff at the cable car station to call the hotel. They were the same hotel, and the bus arrived in just over ten minutes. There are three restaurants, two of which offer breakfast: one buffet and one Western-style set menu. The buffet has a wide variety of dishes and good taste, while the set menu is average, but the view is beautiful. I booked a room with breakfast and dinner included. Dinner was served at Shirakaba. Kaiseki is fine, and the quality is excellent, suitable for Chinese palates. The special kaiseki I chose for an additional fee the next day was terrible, with a heavy sugary sauce that made it unpleasant. The service was first-rate. Meals can be reserved during check-in, but meals are fine. There are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby. We also visited Kasumi Falls this time, but the hike is difficult and the falls are small, so it's better to just wander around the hotel gardens. The hot springs are great and worth experiencing. The hotel is located in Myoko Plateau, so be sure to email ahead to schedule a pick-up. There are no buses or taxis, and the ride takes about 15 minutes."
