"There are no convenience stores or restaurants near the hotel, so it is recommended to use a convenience store in the town about 15. Stayed at the twin on the annex annex 7 floor with a plan with breakfast. The room itself does not feel small at all. Equipment and equipment are also in place. The bathroom is a unit type and is large enough. I am glad that the large communal bath can be used in the main building. The breakfast dishes are of high quality and taste. There is a wide variety of bamboo dumplings, chimaki, and small paper cups 100% Apple peach juice, pork curry, and so on. Considering the accommodation price, I was very satisfied with both the room and breakfast."

"This was my second time staying at this hotel. Last time I only stayed one day, this time I stayed two. September is off-season, and booking two days in advance was RMB 500 more expensive than booking separately. This hotel is very weather-sensitive; I recommend canceling if it's cloudy or rainy for several days in a row. On my first day, visibility was very low due to heavy rain, and the fog outside the window made it impossible to see even the trees, which was a very bad experience. The room also had a slight odor due to the high humidity, which exposed the room's shortcomings without the beautiful view. The air conditioner was too loud, and the toilet was difficult to flush. The carpet was too worn. The next day, the weather cleared up, and everything was beautiful again. I bought a cable car ticket at the front desk and the hotel delivered it to the cable car station. The top of the mountain was beautiful, and the air was fresh. On the way back, I asked the cable car staff at the cable car station to call the hotel. They were the same hotel, and the bus arrived in just over ten minutes. There are three restaurants, two of which offer breakfast: one buffet and one Western-style set menu. The buffet has a wide variety of dishes and good taste, while the set menu is average, but the view is beautiful. I booked a room with breakfast and dinner included. Dinner was served at Shirakaba. Kaiseki is fine, and the quality is excellent, suitable for Chinese palates. The special kaiseki I chose for an additional fee the next day was terrible, with a heavy sugary sauce that made it unpleasant. The service was first-rate. Meals can be reserved during check-in, but meals are fine. There are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby. We also visited Kasumi Falls this time, but the hike is difficult and the falls are small, so it's better to just wander around the hotel gardens. The hot springs are great and worth experiencing. The hotel is located in Myoko Plateau, so be sure to email ahead to schedule a pick-up. There are no buses or taxis, and the ride takes about 15 minutes."

"The location is really remote, even driving feels far away, there will be an avalanche and ice on the road in winter, be very careful, fortunately, it is the first in Yan Hot Spring District, and then the ground is full of moss, the car will slip, you can borrow rain shoes from the hotel to go up, There is a real sense of the end of the world here. Because the part of the female soup is being renovated, you can take a bottle of drink from the beverage cabinet every day, but the bath time is taken turns with the male soup, and you can't take a bath after midnight. It is not recommended to take a bath the next morning. The homestay has a laundry service, which can be given to the owner of the homestay when you go out in the morning, and will be washed and placed in the room at night. Yujamas are provided. Many ancient skiing equipment is also displayed in the homestay. In addition to some renovated hardware and software facilities, the owner of the hotel is very kind. At night, he also helped us put hot water bags in the quilt. There are many small snacks in the room. When we leave, we even took various snacks as a souvenir for us. We really feel at home."

"We stayed in January and couldn't have been happier with the accommodation. Although the place is a bit far to walk into Myoko and the ski fields, Masao-san was a fantastic host. His English is perfect, and he was very informative and happy to shuttle us to town and the ski slopes. We had breakfast every morning, and our favorite was the Japanese-style breakfasts. I highly recommend staying here, and we will certainly be back. It was just perfect for the family. My only complaint has nothing to do with the hosts or the accommodation but with the two young fellas staying long-term. They were very inconsiderate of other guests. The fridge, which is for everyone to share, had a large majority of the space taken up by their beer."

"All in all great experience. The rooms were nice and cozy Japanese styled, with lots of space for all your bags, clothes and what not. Miwa the manager and her family were all really sweet and super helpful! Super nice natural Onsen as well. Location is great; the hotel is on the Main Street in Akakura Onsen. Loads of different restaurants and bars right on the street + a convenient store. 5-10 minute walk to Akakura Onsen ski area. 15-20 minute walk to Kanko ski resort. And buses that take you to other ski resorts and the Myoko-Kogen station. Drying room for all your ski/snowboard gear. Great hotel✨"

"This traditional Japanese onsen hotel is perfectly located an 8 min walk to the closest ski lift & right by the main street. Breakfast had both Japanese & Westrn options. The pancakes were delicious! Mizuki at the front desk of hotel Taiko went above & beyond to ensure that we were happy throughout our stay.  Every interaction with her was warm and welcoming. We were always greeted with a smile. She helped with our check-in, coordinated our transfer to the train station, helped with dinner reservations, lift ticlets & gave lots of great recommendations.  Her recommendation to enjoy the hotel onsen was greatly appreciated after a long day of travel. We visited the onsen after every day of skiing as well! Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful, but Mizuki stood out in her customer service abilities. She should be the customer service manager. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return & spend more time at this lovely establishment that is staffed by incredible people.  Thank you very much for all your help, Mizuki & the team at Hotel Taiko D'Artagnan Heath & Ching Lin"

"The hotel's location is remote, so it's best to drive. Many locals use the bathhouse and the accompanying hot spring facilities, so hygiene can be a bit lacking. This was also the first time I'd encountered a hotel with coin-operated lockers. Tea was provided after the hot springs, but all other amenities required payment. The hotel room was spacious, with a lovely view of snow-capped mountains and cherry blossoms. The bathroom had a separate bathtub, but it was a bit inconvenient to use."

"Service attitude is very good But it was too old and noisy. The ventilation system kept making noises of parts falling off for more than 10 hours. So I chose a room with a bathroom and toilet. I wanted convenience, but I didn't expect that it would be inconvenient to take a bath. The bathtub was too small and there was bleach in the water. The smell, and the water in the bathtub is still completely wet even if there is a shower curtain blocking the floor. It is very uncomfortable. The wind power of the hair dryer is close to zero. It is recommended to bring your own hair dryer, otherwise it will really collapse. The hotel may be too old. I really don’t recommend it if you want to enjoy skiing. This hotel has been in a state of collapse. I stayed there for four nights and it was really uncomfortable. Then when the room was cleaned, the floor was not vacuumed. The room was really dirty and the slippers were rusty in it... In short, I will not come again! ! ! Really ruined a good ski trip"

"I had a business and used it when I stayed in Myoko City. It was my first time staying at the hotel, but I was satisfied with the easy-to-use furnishings of the room and the open-air bath. Also, breakfast was a delicious Viking with rich local ingredients and menu."

"My husband and I stayed here for the hot springs. Since there is only one open-air bath on the premises, the open-air bath is open to men and women at different times, so you can't use the open-air bath whenever you like. Also, the indoor baths are very small (there aren't many washing or changing areas), and even though there are about 10 rooms, there aren't enough baths. The rice was certainly delicious, but I felt it was rather expensive. Therefore, it was a low evaluation for me, who was only interested in hot springs. I think it's good for those who prioritize food, but if you're looking for a hot spring, you should look elsewhere."
