Pension Petite House for You

Great stay at a Japanese bed and breakfast style accomodation. Owners are an elderly Japanese couple who speaks average English but we get by. Free transport to and fro ski slopes even though they are a 1.2 km walk away from Akakura Onsen main street. Owner was also kind enough to drive us to the train station for our rest day from snowboard. Breakfast was great! Room had attached toilets and were super clean. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Will stay here again next time I come to Myoko Kogen
Super Hotel Arai Niigata
4.3/53 Reviews
This hotel is located on the grounds of Roadside Station Arai on National Route 18. There is a convenience store across from the hotel, and a restaurant, seafood direct sales store, and souvenir shop are a short walk away. Breakfast is included, so you can eat dinner at the restaurant or take out sushi or seafood bowls from the direct sales store and eat them in your room. The rooms are bunk bed style, with a queen-size bed and a single bed on top. Up to three people can stay. There is a hot spring on the first floor of the hotel. Since it is a gender-separate system, you may not be able to take a bath at the time you want. Parking is free and it is located along the main road, so it may be a good place to stop off on a road trip to the Shinetsu area.
Akakura Yours Inn

I stayed in a corner room, Twin, for three nights. It had a nice view and was compact. Most refrigerators were in boxes, but this one was just used as a bedside table. It was an effective use of space. The hot bath was also nice. The food was excellent, although it was a bit strong for those who like light flavors. It was an old building so it wasn't barrier-free, but the owner's hospitality made it a comfortable stay.
Hotel Taiko

I went on a ski trip with my family. Perhaps because it was 々 early in the year, there were many customers and it was very crowded. Unlike when I came two years ago, there are many foreigners, and accordingly, there are cappuccinos, fruit sandwiches, curry and rice for vegans in the cafe in the lobby. At the bar downstairs, it has changed to a shop where you can enjoy wine and craft beer, and there are skewers and wrap sandwich stalls in front of the front entrance at night, and it has a very fun atmosphere. I just bought a lot and ate it. When I came two years ago, there was only a long-established store and I had an old image, but in this impression, it seems that the hall is being cleaned little by little, and I liked it very much. The number of young staff has increased, and I was very impressed that they greeted me cheerfully. The open-air bath is still superb and it's very nice to enter while it's bright ♪ It seems that both his wife and children were very satisfied, so I'm thinking of going again next year. I'm really looking forward to seeing how it's changing next time I go ♪
Lime Resort Myoko

We used it for 8,000 yen per night using the prefectural campaign. Myoko's own coupon is given 2,000 yen per person and is real 6,000 yen. The facilities are renovated, but they are quite clean. The children's play room is also large and seems to be good for children. The library space was fashionable, and the wellness of the lime resort was realized. The rooms are very relaxing and the building is quite good. The quality of the hot spring was also good with the flat area of the pond. Shampoos are also good quality and are neat. The meal was delicious and the main style was available for dinner, but there are many volumes and it seems to be a bit painful for older people. It is a nice hotel even if it is deducted. This time, there is no complaint because it is 6000 yen for two meals per night. However, if it is usually sold at 15,000 yen 〜, there is a little high feeling. It seems that it will repeat if it can be easily used by the family at about 10,000 yen. You can recommend it as a myoko area.
Akakura Kanko Hotel

The hotel is halfway up the mountain in the mountains. The view from the room is very good! We went to the night before the heavy snow, the snow scene is beautiful! The breakfast at the hotel needs to be determined to be Japanese or Western. The hotel’s hot springs are indoors and outdoors, and the outdoor faces the mountains and snow, and you can see skiers slipping through. There is also a family bathroom, reservations are available, and the family can have a hot spring together. Free parking in the car park. Founded in 1937, this hotel was recreated in 1965 and feels like a very upscale hotel, with its special features from the details. Great hotel worth staying for a few more days
