We rented an AirBnb here for 5 days in April of 2024. The apartments are all individually owned so they can change from room to room, so this review is only on the facilities as a whole and not our specific AirBnb. The Good You are very close to the ocean, a short walk from any of the buildings. The beach is very nice. There are showers on the bridge that connects the resort to the beach to rinse off sand. There are many options for swimming/water fun on the grounds. Multiple indoor and outdoor pools are available throughout the property. All of the pools were well maintained and clean. Parking is ample and finding a spot in front of your building should be easy. The Not-So-Good The entire resort is dated, and by dated I mean whatever was there when they built it is what you're getting now by and large. I don't know when it was built but my guess is the latest would be the early 1990s, and likely before that. The playground was very minimal and not kept up at all, and what was there was broken in some cases. The pool area bathrooms were dingy and in need of painting, with showers out of service in some and many broken fixtures, broken and cracked tile, exposed plumbing, etc... Just things that made it look not well maintained. There's not a whole lot that's within walking distance to the grounds (unless you're ready for a bit of a hike). Parking is not free. There are what seem to be a dozen (at least) stray cats that live under the buildings. Not the biggest deal since they're cute, but it kind of lends itself to this overall feeling that you're in more of a trailer park than a beach resort. And actually, comparing this place to a "nice trailer park" is a pretty good analogy overall. The Bad The apartment building hallways are, and I can't stress this enough, extremely dark. There are zero windows in any of the interior hallways, and only small overhead lights every 15 feet or so. The lighting along with the very odd shape of the hallways themselves (this sort of zig-zag design) along with the bland white and navy blue paint just made it look more like a legit Russian prison than a hotel or resort. Also, the bedrooms in the apartments have windows that face the hallway..... why? Why would you ever need a window in a bedroom so you can look out into a bleak depressing hallway? Very very odd overall building design with this place. The hallways and elevators also have an unpleasant smell, mainly due to them being dark and cramped with old carpet. As other reviews have mentioned, the nightly karaoke at the Quarter Deck (tiki bar down behind the tower) is SUPER loud. We would try and sit outside on the patio at night and all you can hear is the booming music and singing. It's really a shame that they don't limit that to 1-2 nights a week. My guess is they make decent money off of it and that's more important to them. The bell carts are super dingy and old. They have also the very classy addition of dirty old shopping carts available for g
