Atlantica Resort

This please needs to be condemned. We knew we were in trouble when we arrived at the lobby. It was small, dingey, and smell of mold. We were sent to another location for our stay. Location was unsecured. When entering the room, it was dirty, kitchen area was so small, one could barely move around it. One bedroom had twin beds that were low to the floor and too small to sleep in. The main bedroom, which was an ocean view, but the ocean could not be seen due to the glass being so dirty. The curtains were falling down. If we had stayed in this place, some of us would come out sick.

My two daughters and 2 granddaughters stayed at the Atlantica from the 5th to the 9th of July. First thing, when I checked in and was paying the balance of our stay, I was told it was $80.00 more than the amount stated on their last email. That was settled after I provided the email. Parking was across the street and the down the block. Totally not convenient. Our condo furnishings were very dated and needing replaced. There was no room service to speak of. A trip to the front desk had to made for more towels or bedding. With only 2 elevators in operation, it was always a wait to get back and forth. Really would not recommend this resort and will not be staying there again.

Since so reviews are poor, I want to give my take on what is happening. We rented ATLANTICA RESORT II 653, via Elliot Rentals. Our condo was updated and very clean. It far exceeded our expectations. New appliances, new counter tops. Furniture was newer and beds were comfortable. The kitchen was wells supplied with anything you would need for short-term or long-term stay. The owners of this condo have gone above and beyond providing for our stay. Location is perfect as boardwalk is located one resort down. It is only a block or so to main Myrtle Beach. Plenty with of options to eat nearby. We were on the 6th floor, with balcony and the view was amazing. The rental company is off site, a few blocks away, so you don't deal with any of the Atlantica staff. The resort is an older property but is in the process of updating. They were putting in new tile in the pool area, new landscape was being installed. Some areas appeared to be recently painted. I think the poor reviews are from slumlord units. People who don't own to use for themselves. We never saw any homeless people hanging out, nor did we find any garbage laying around. Elevators are older but it is an older property, we did not pay for new fancy resort. Oh the pools were small but appeared clean. The parking lot is on the other side of a different parking lot but we would just use the driveway and drop off our groceries and then go park. Limited handicap, only four spots. We plan on going again next year and will stay at the same unit. I hope this review helps you find a place to rent that is right on the beach that is moderately priced. Unit 653.

Very worn and outdated. Nort Building, elevator and room in need of major overhaul! Sketcy elevator with names, etc scratched on metal elevator doors. Befoe even entering our room the doors all worn and scratched up. Upon entering hit with old musty stale smoke stench. Very old outdated everything! End unit so had a microscopic balcony with old rusted furniture. The only thing going for it was the ocean view.! Contacted management and relocated to a smidge better room in the Main - South Tower.

Paid $240 for one night was very disappointed. Had no towels had to go get our own, shower was dirty with black hair in the tub had to clean it myself, shower bearly worked with the only way to have a hot shower is to have it all the way on hot. Phone didnt work was only for looks, but what got me was when we walked into the room, u walk into the bedroom, so if your with friends they either had to walk though the bedroom while u were sleeping to get out or u had to lock them in the hotel room until u woke up... Unreal... If u loose the pool wrist band that normally only cost $3 they charge u $250 to replace it kinda makes u not even want to touch them smh... Pool area is even out dated.. best part was the jacuzzi

We booked a week stated on 11th floor. The unit was horrible. Pest traps under sinks and in cabinets. I initially thought tor mice but we were introduced to our pest later, “roaches”! They cane and moved refrigerator, revealed mire traps and in some top cabinets. Roaches on dishwashers, sink, cabinets. Our unit is managed by Hosterra an off-site management team. I will never book where they are property management. The unit looks like the 1960’s. Needs to be remodeled badly. Carpet is badly wore down and torn.

This place is extremely not worth it. Do NOT stay here, there’s so many better places that you’d be able to find around the area. They give you 1 day to report damage and then they charge you for what they “find”. We’re getting charged $400 for ripped curtains that certainly was not from us. They also contacted us the day before we left saying that we were throwing things from our balcony, that if we did it again we’d have to leave. They continued to tell us they had video evidence of us, sent us a BLURRY picture from someone else’s balcony on the opposite side of ours. They don’t even know the right rooms and they work here. And since we were staying in an airbnb portion i guess—which still connects to the hotel because they come up and clean it—they refused to give us more toilet paper and towels multiple times throughout our 5 day stay. Too much money for somewhere that was disgusting and the 1 elevator in the building smelled absolutely horrible like something had died in there. Absolutely terrible place!! Do not go here!!!!

I stayed in Atlantic at 1055. The unit was well equipped and VERY CLEAN. The location is tremendous, just a few yards from the boardwalk. The building was clean and housekeeping was always there working. The unit had two gigantic smart TVs, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. It was nice to have a dishwasher and a washing machine. Wasn't planning on doing wash but it was nice to have because I ended up needing it.. It was really nice to walk to dinner and have a few drinks and not worry about driving anywhere. I would definitely come back.

Entire unit was dirty and badly in need of repairs. What repairs had been done were sloppy and cheap. Was falsely accused of damaging property (did not end up having to pay). Advertised pools were in a completely different building that we had to walk down the street to access. Was only provided a small amount of toilet paper and towels that would NOT be enough any party of 10 for a week stay let alone our party of 7. Bedsheets felt gross and was not comfortable to sleep on. Will not be returning.
