Best Western Plus Wilmington/Carolina Beach

Our stay was amazing! The staff was so friendly and helpful. Everything was clean! We came to see the ocean which was close to our hotel. The price was affordable too. The beds were so comfortable I didn't want to come home!

Had to stay overnight after driving back and forth to take my son to a dentist appointment in Raleigh. It was a much needed rest and had a relaxing night. We enjoyed the breakfast and having coffee available at all times. Definitely will book at this hotel again.

Mold was overwhelming. Could not wait to leave. I can just imagine what's behind those walls. Had to sleep under covers to filter smell. A sense of unsaveness was present. Woke up at 2am, someone was trying to get in my room thru the door that connects to room next to me.

Pool was closed and was not stated on the website. Room was dirty and had dust on furniture. Only had one towel and staff was rude when asked for another towel. Overall stay was the worst experience

Large bright red stains on room carpet-unsure if was blood or juice, very small room size, dirt/sand on bathroom floor, no exhaust fan in bathroom, no TP roll holder, air conditioner never shut off even when at temperature, moist, musty air in room, hot tub out of order, ice machine not working, and very basic breakfast. Certainly not worth $250/night that I paid! Will never stay here again.

A very nice hotel. Comfy rooms. Breakfast was amazing!!everyone on staff very friendly. Quiet. Nice laundry facility. Nice to have a sink in the mini kitchen. Close by to shopping and great restaurants. Lots of parking. Close to Wilmington and all the sights. We’d definitely go again!

We chose this location for the pool/hot tub combo. The hot tub was out of order, so that was a bummer but not a deal breaker. Our room was very humid and smelt like mildew. 80% of the equipment in the fitness center was out of order. Overall the facility just felt neglected. I sat in the lobby waiting for my wife and kids to come down and over heard several customers airing their grievances as they checked out. The entire staff was kind and friendly, they were doing the best they could.

Amenities were broken, strong odors, rooms were filthy, and they did nothing to accommodate us, Dan our of most breakfast items- was not worth it.

Breakfast was an absolut joke. The coffee mashine had no coffee, it was pouring milk like fluid mixed with water. As I asked the staff if she could fill up the beans (2 times!) she gave a shoulder shrug and replied "there is freshed brewed coffee beside the machine".. Needless to mention there was no coffee! She was absolutely careless about our complaints and so of the other guests aswell. There were no eggs and the juice machine gave yellow water. We had a child that we could not feed. We tried to eat a muffin, so we at least had something. 5 minutes later we ran to the bathroom with diarrhea. As I was standing in the Buffet room, the Lady wo worked the "kitchen" left the door open. As I looked into the room, I was shocked. There was a little metal sink area with all kinds of things piled up on it. It was a storage room for cleaning supplies and other things, but definitely not a kitchen!! I was upset at myself for not having my phone on me to take a picture. We left the hotel and went to IHOP next door. We will never book at any of the Best Western Hotels again. The only reason I gave any points is bc the front desk clerk was somewhat friendly. The elevator worked, so did the fridge and the lights. The ice machine was good to have. We did like the room set up and the beds were comfortable aswell. The bathroom was cleanish, hot water worked with pressure and the toilet also flushed with pressure. I really liked that the room did not stink like artificial flower Sprays or fibreeze. But it did smell like an old house basement. Like old air, stale. It got a little better as we opened the window and turned on the ac fan. I was happy about the ac working.
