Hotel JAL City Nagano Reviews

Is a bit far from JR station around 12 mins walk. And hotel exterior is a bit old fashion. And room layout is a bit strange( hexagonal shape) . Other than that overall is satisfactory, bed very comfortable and big size, staffs are very polite and efficient check in. Amenities is very sufficient and you don’t need to bring any of your own.

Hotel is quite a walk from train station, but there’s many nice cafes and restaurants nearby. The room is spacious and decent. Hotel staff is very helpful, we transferred our luggages over to Osaka as we are heading for Tateyama nice walls. Received them with ease, and hotel staff is very kind to help us complete the form in Japanese language.

Great place with friendly staff. The twin room was big and the bathroom convenient. There is a lounge area with washing machines, microwave and drink machines. Definitely a good place

I visited Nagano both to visit family and to work. The reception was completely understanding of my need to have the hotel room for video calls overseas and kindly helped me arrange servicing of the room accordingly. The room size for one was comfortable enough for a foreigner about 6 foot 1 in height. The bed was cozy, and overall the room was quiet despite being there over the New Year holiday. The Chinese dinner box was pretty good, and the 16th floor breakfast buffet has both an amazing view and a delicious buffet. It's quite Japanese-themed, but has enough western food variety to make trying it more than once during the trip possible.

Good location, a short walk from Nagano Station; good breakfast, the view from the 16th floor makes breakfast more pleasant; the price is reasonable, not in peak season and on weekends.

It was clean and the air conditioning was comfortable, so I was able to spend a pleasant time there. The walking distance to Zenkoji Temple was just right. 😊

The hotel is in a good location, near Nagano Station. The service attitude is very good, the room is also very exquisite, there is a capsule coffee machine, and the price/performance ratio is very high. There are convenience stores, coffee shops, drug stores, and Don Quixote around. I will choose this hotel next time.

It's a clean and quiet hotel. Judging from the people dining, it seems like most of them are Japanese tourists. The rooms, especially the bathrooms, are very clean. There are no drinks in the refrigerator, so please prepare them in advance at the vending machine on the first floor. The parking attendants are not friendly. The breakfast at the restaurant with a nice view is the best. The menu is varied and delicious. It feels like eating at a high-end restaurant. It would be foolish to stay at this hotel and not eat. According to the notice at the front desk, breakfast is full tomorrow.

I stayed here for sightseeing. It was a very comfortable stay. I would like to stay here again when I go sightseeing in Nagano or Matsumoto (Kamikochi).

The location is not in front of Nagano Station. It's a bit of a walk. There are restaurants in Nagano, such as in front of Nagano Station and Gondo, but this is a very good location for eating and drinking in Gondo. The rooms are kept clean like a general hotel. There is no inconvenience. The breakfast is very delicious. I think it is of a very high standard. In order to reduce congestion, they introduced a reservation system in advance, but although it is good for reducing congestion, it is a double-edged sword because there is a possibility that you cannot have breakfast at the time you want, and you may have to give up breakfast. I thought that it might be possible to make a reservation for breakfast time together with the reservation for accommodation, or to prepare reserved seats and free seats. I think the front desk staff's response is extremely good. I felt that they were very kind.
