Kanucha Bay Hotel & Villas Reviews

The grounds are very spacious and I chose this hotel specifically to make my elderly parents' stay comfortable. It was very comfortable to move around in a golf cart‼️ I like it when my parents are older.

The hotel facilities are very good and the environment is quiet. I will stay here again next time. Lunch and dinner are affordable. In terms of free breakfast, there are many choices and there are several restaurants to choose from.

I went there by car directly from Naha Airport. I think you can get there faster if you use the expressway. I used public roads for sightseeing. Okinawa's roads are well maintained, so we arrived at the hotel smoothly. It's quite spacious and you can easily use the talker on the premises. The room was spacious and had an open-air bath, so we had a luxurious night. If you have cooking facilities in your room and prepare the ingredients, you will have more options for meals. We recommend the pleasure of the ocean to the beach park. Unfortunately, the night was short.

The room is very big, and there is a free upgrade to a room with a sea view. The service is very good. There are several restaurants, but they all require reservations. The Japanese breakfast is great, there are boutiques for shopping, and it is very convenient to play ball.

The location of the hotel is relatively remote, so you must travel by car. The hotel I booked was not close to the beach, so it was a bit troublesome. After dark, there are more restaurant choices, but reservations are required. Because I checked in too late, I couldn’t eat at many restaurants.

Very good experience, clean and comfortable

Overnight in the beachside orchid building. I could see the sea from the balcony and the sound of the waves was soothing. It was the time of illuminations, so the night was wonderful. As for the equipment and facilities, the bathrobe is frayed, the sheets are stained, and it feels a little old, so I do not recommend it to those who are concerned about such parts.

My personal towel disappeared with the sheets I replaced when making the bed, and I asked the front desk many times to look for it, but even if I told the features several times, it was hard to find different features etc every time the staff changed. After returning to Tokyo, I called again and asked, but the name of the room and the characteristics of the towel were not properly communicated again. "I found it. Please come to the front desk to pick it up or it will be shipped." Of course, I had already returned to Tokyo, so I had it shipped. Then, the final payment was a cash on delivery of 1900 yen. If I could communicate properly between the staff, I could find it immediately during my stay and return it and take it home, but if you were careful when making the bed in the first place ... I was surprised! !! Is it okay to educate the staff at this hotel? I doubt that. I was happy that I was comfortable during my stay, but I was really disappointed.

The resort itself is beautiful. View of the ocean abound, two gorgeous pools, lots of space to walk or drive your resort-assigned golf cart. Here are the pros, cons, and MUST KNOW information. ****MUST-KNOW INFORMATION*** -The resort offers a rental car with room to people coming from out of the country. Do not make the same mistake we did. GET YOUR INTERNATIONAL DRIVER'S LICENSE before you leave your home country. It is easy and cheap, but once you leave home, it is impossible to get this. This resort is REMOTE, so if you cannot drive, you will spend a lot of cash on taxis to get anywhere outside of the resort. -The closest city/town in Nago, which has great grocery stores and restaurants. Highly recommend bringing some food with you or buying food off the resort property, in order to save a bit of money. The cheapest dinner option is approx. $45 per person (not counting if you want a glass or beer, sake or wine). -When you choose a room, it is NOT worth getting the highest priced Beach Condo unless you are coming with a large group and want to share one room. The beach condos offer less modern accommodations with no coffee provided and they are not necessarily as private as they seem. The pool offered is small and shared by 4 units - one of which has a huge window right in front of the pool. PROS: -Very professional and excellent service throughout the resort. We particularly enjoyed the staff at the buffet dinner restaurant. There were some international service members (Jersey from the Philippines provided STAND-OUT customer service with a smile) and spoke perfect English. -Incredible free breakfast! Hard to describe, but you can see some of this in the attached photos. Both American (eggs, pancakes, tater tots) and Japanese (rice, miso soup, tuna, seaweed, steamed vegetables) traditional breakasts, many beverage options (iced/hot coffee and tea, juice, soda, water), and even options for kids/infants -If you have children under 5, this is a place that will cater to your needs. Most of the people at this resort are young couples with infants and toddlers. We even saw a family eating dinner with a full-on pack-n-play next to their table, so their baby could sleep through dinner. It is amazing. We did NOT see anyone breast-feeding publicly, but there are spaces provided to do this out of view of other guests. -The swimming pools are gorgeous and very-well cared for, as are the grounds. If you golf, you'll love the opportunity to hit the course while you are here. CONS: -If you do not speak any Japanese, you will find it difficult to communicate with staff. Thankfully one of us speaks and Google Translate is also helpful. -REMOTE - there is nowhere you can walk to from the property. No stores or restaurants within biking or walking distance. Make sure to have a car if you want to get off the property. -LOTS OF RULES - Japan is a rule-based society and this property is no different. Pools are open limited hour

Love all the facilities and activities available. Breakfast is super good. Good value for the price. Will definitely come stay with Kanucha Resort again.

The rooms were beautiful and we all enjoyed the Stardust Fantasia lights. Dinner at the Okinawan restaurant and the buffet breakfast were delicious. Getting around was easy by trolley or walking.

I never stay in a big hotel that only 1 staff can speak little english Room for us is very dirty, have spider web We finally need to move to another room type Hotel room is very old Staff explain all wrong details as bad English so that we miss breakfast on next day Hotel is big i ideally think that golf car is for guest convenience, however, still need to pay I never stay at Japanese hotel parking need to pay, they need to pay also Pay is not a problem but bad services Do think they cannot have 4 to 5 star rating as their service really cannot get to those standard, if just can accept golf Japanese guest, need to promote, do not think can make tourist happy at this hotel stay

Great stay. Room was clean. You can request a "no room cleaning" day. They still give you new towels by hanging them on your door, and they will take any trash bags you place outside your door.

Had a stove in the room, didn't work. Resort wanted us to use the microwave in the lobby. Not near our room. Overall, the stay was fantastic and staff is amazing
