We were there in 2018. Don't be put off by the exterior. Although not a 5 Star affair, the room was more than adequate, the food and service was first class, the staff were a great bunch and made our stay most enjoyable. Security was very good and the tariff was extremely reasonable.

Bare-bones hotel. Clean enough, but some updates could benefit travelers. Attached restaurant is the best part of this property; employees more than willing to introduce foreigners to local culture (through food). Location is pretty solid, but price point for what you get is a bit high. No heat or AC in the room I rented, so I cracked windows to in my room and bathroom to provide some ventilation at night. Be prepared to hear early morning call-to-prayer from the nearby mosque, and on the weekends, make sure you bring earplugs if listening to club music LITERALLY all night isn't your jam.

The beds and rooms were clean. The vintage interior design is very welcoming and it's location is prime for business in the Central business district. The food is served with great care and is of good quality. All this within a fairly great price range. The rooms are also warm in the night providing for a comfortable sleep

The toilet doesn't flush well. The room is small. The lock is worn out and sometimes won't open. The male cleaning staff is friendly, but the female staff is unfriendly.
The restaurant on the second floor is really good. The staff is cheerful and kind. The location is great, but there are some scary people at night. Security is pretty good. There are no slippers or amenities in the room. There is something that seems to be both hand soap and body soap.

The window doesn't close. The toilet doesn't flush properly. The shop across the street is making a lot of noise at night. The only amenities provided are liquid soap, no hair dryer. The mosquito net is torn. The door doesn't close properly. The closet closes when you bring the key.
The staff is kind. The restaurant on the second floor is extremely helpful when you have nothing to do at night. I think the security is pretty good.
