Was the only place available in the whole lake area. Location is great, and they partner with a bike hire company so they give you a discount, but I didn’t think the value for money was there. It was a weekend and there was a show on so maybe that was part of the reason it was so expensive (£25+ a night).
The reception/common areas is tiny so it’s not very social. Rules enforced about showering after 10pm feels a bit rigid.
General tidiness is top and the beds etc were standard!

Not bad in terms of location but do note that check in is at certain hours only. May be inconvenient if you arrive too early

I really enjoyed staying here. Everything was spotless and nicely designed, giving a fresh and relaxing feeling. The bathroom was clean and had a separate shower area, which was very convenient. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to, and the location made exploring Sun Moon Lake super convenient. You can also get great discounts on attraction tickets when buying directly from the host. A clean, comfortable, and welcoming place all around.

Everything was food, just the entry was a little bit hard to find. And they are giving reduction to rent a bike which is a good point.

The Hostel itself was awesome. Well kept, well laid out and great amenities.
Unfortunately, check-in was way more stressful than necessary. By default their check-in ends at 7:00, which in our case we ran into some issues related to public transport up to Sun Moon Lake, which is pretty normal.
This led to a situation where we did not know if we would have a place to sleep if we went up the mountain on the last bus, or if we should simply give up. Eventually we connected with the team and we're able to organise a late self-check-in. If this was simply offered from the get-go we would have requested it, and this stay would have been 5/5. However, it was 4/5.

Very suitable for solo travellers. This place is conveniently located near many good spots. Scenery around is beautiful too!

Very friendly staff and everything you need, on the main road of Shuishe, so very easy to access everything in Sun Moon Lake. Big emphasis on not disturbing others and keeping quiet after 10pm, which I appreciated. Only downside is their checkin time is very limited from 3 to 7 only.
